The booking ladder opened in three steps
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opens 1 July 2027 on the shores of Bay Lake at Walt Disney World. Disney’s own resort page carries the line “Book now for stays starting July 1, 2027.”
Cash reservations opened on 6 October 2026 to Disney Vacation Club members. Walt Disney World Annual Passholders followed on 7 October, and all guests on 8 October.
Disney Tourist Blog printed the three dates on 27 August 2026. That report records the dates as covering cash bookings, with points-based booking still to come.
What the inventory holds
Disney puts the resort at 967 rooms. Its release describes studios and villas, with new one- and two-bedroom waterfront Lake Houses.
Disney’s resort page splits the studio set. Resort Queen Rooms sleep up to four adults, Resort King Rooms up to two, Duo Studios up to two, and Deluxe Studios up to four. Select Resort Studios carry access to The Artist Nest, the Club Level Lounge.
Disney Tourist Blog adds three-bedroom grand villas that sleep up to 12 guests and the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite, which sleeps up to six in two bedrooms.
The design set comes from four films
The release names Bambi, Pocahontas, Encanto and Brother Bear, and describes natural materials, earthy color palettes and original artwork from classic Disney films.
Disney’s resort page assigns Pocahontas to the Resort Studios and Bambi or Encanto to the Duo and Deluxe Studios.
The buildings carry floor-to-ceiling windows and a porte-cochere. Guests reach Magic Kingdom Park by water taxi, and the other parks and Disney Springs by bus.
The preview in Flatiron Plaza
Disney Experiences put a 3D street mural in Flatiron Plaza in early October to preview the resort. The item carrying the announcement ran under the Disney Signature Experiences byline on 8 October 2026.
Street artist Tracy Lee Stum built the piece around Daydream River, the resort’s lazy river, and passers-by could step inside the image for photographs and video. Stum holds the 2006 Guinness World Record for the largest chalk painting by an individual.
Disney’s resort page carries no rate table, and neither the release nor the page names a nightly rate, a resort fee or a cancellation term.
