Hilton signs 600 rooms at Bengaluru airport for a 2030 opening

Hilton signed Conrad Bengaluru Airport and Hilton Bengaluru Airport with Kalyani Group for 600 rooms in one cluster, with both hotels projected to open in 2030 and no published booking window.

A signing with no booking window attached

Hilton signed Conrad Bengaluru Airport and Hilton Bengaluru Airport with Bengaluru-based Kalyani Group. Each hotel carries 300 guest rooms, so the cluster holds 600. Hilton expects both hotels to open in 2030.

The release names no month for either opening, no rate position and no booking window. It carries no investment value, no ownership split, no management agreement and no management fee.

The channel the rooms will sell through

Both brands sit in Hilton Honors. Members who book through preferred Hilton channels receive flexible Points and money payments, member discounts and complimentary standard Wi-Fi. The app carries digital check-in, room selection and a Digital Key.

Hilton describes India as its largest market by number of hotels. No independent tally appears in the release.

The site and the group inventory

The two hotels form one cluster in KIADB Hi-Tech Defence and Aerospace Park. The park sits about 20 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport.

The complex carries more than 72,000 square feet of event space. Hilton positions that inventory against demand for large conferences, corporate gatherings and social events.

What the signing adds to Bengaluru

Conrad trades in Bengaluru and Pune, and Conrad Jaipur sits under development. The airport property becomes the city’s second Conrad.

Hilton Hotels & Resorts holds eight properties in India, across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Gurugram, Jaipur and Goa, with another 11 under development. Hilton’s own Bengaluru locations index lists 13 Hilton-family hotels in the city. Three of those carry the Hilton Hotels & Resorts flag.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Bengaluru Whitefield opened in 2024 under the same developer. A separate DoubleTree by Hilton Bengaluru Airport already trades near the airport, and it is not part of this signing.

What the two sides said

Alan Watts, president for Asia Pacific at Hilton, called the signing a milestone for Hilton’s presence in Bengaluru. He set the company’s ambition at more than 400 hotels in India over the next decade and named Bengaluru as a focus for expansion.

Mohan Raju, managing director of Kalyani Developers, called the airport agreement a natural next step after Whitefield.

Priyanka M Raju and Rohan M Raju, directors of Kalyani Developers, described the project as a full-service brand and a luxury brand under one destination.
