A Three-Night Block Around A One-Day SoMa Fair

The fair's own block runs Friday to Monday around a single Sunday that sits in September, the year's second-strongest rate month on Engine's table.

The one-day date and the block around it

Folsom Street Fair runs Sunday 27 September 2026 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The organiser dates the event to 1984 and calls this edition the 43rd annual celebration.

The fair's travel page carries one room block. BEI San Francisco, Trademark Collection by Wyndham, holds it at 50 8th Street under group code 260925FOL. Check-in is 25 September and check-out is 28 September, a Friday-to-Monday window of three nights around one Sunday.

The block books through the property's group reservation flow. No rate publishes on the page.

The rate month the date lands in

Engine publishes $165 per night for San Francisco across 3.1 million public rate observations from May 2024 to April 2026. The publisher labels those par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search.

September averages $192 and runs 16 percent above the city figure. March averages $197 and takes the top of the twelve-month table. December averages $129 and takes the bottom. Thirty-five percent separates the cheapest month from the priciest. San Francisco ranks 18 of 50 markets in the set, 11 percent above the $148 median.

The fair's Sunday sits in the second-strongest rate month of the twelve.

A second demand source on the same Sunday

Portola Music Festival runs Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026 at Pier 80. Venue doors open at 1 p.m. PT on both days, and the curfew is 11 p.m. PT. Admission is 21-plus and requires a valid physical government-issued photo ID.

All eight pass tiers sit sold out across a $269.95 to $779.50 band. The festival publishes no parking at Pier 80. A free shuttle runs a loop between Pier 80 and the 24th Street Mission BART station from 12:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Portola's order terms read all sales final, with no refunds, cancellations or exchanges, and no re-entry. A $2 sustainability fee sits inside every published pass price.

The footprint and the published record

The fair's footprint covers twelve SoMa blocks. Folsom Street runs between 7th and 13th Streets. The 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th cross from Howard to Harrison. Dore runs from Howard to its end.

The organiser publishes no attendance figure, no capacity figure and no gate count. The three-night block and the Engine rate set are the two published items a revenue team can price against for that Sunday.
