NoMad Hotels named three general managers on 1 October 2026. The appointments cover Detroit, London and Singapore.
Jason Deibler-Love takes NoMad Detroit Michigan Central. Bernardo de la Garza takes NoMad Singapore. John Sutherland returns to NoMad London.
The three hires place a named general manager in each of the markets the brand has announced for this period. Detroit and Singapore are pre-opening. London trades.
Detroit: Jason Deibler-Love
Deibler-Love becomes general manager of NoMad Detroit Michigan Central. The hotel sits inside the restored Michigan Central Station and is scheduled to open in early spring 2027.
He was raised in Metro Detroit. His career spans more than two decades in independent hotels and lifestyle brands, with senior roles at Ace Hotel Group, Standard International and Eaton Workshop.
"Throughout my career, I've been drawn to hotels that become part of the cultural life of their cities - places where thoughtful design, authentic service, food, music, art, and community converge in a meaningful way," he said. "To return to Detroit and help shape NoMad within such an important landmark is an extraordinary opportunity, and one that feels deeply personal."
Singapore: Bernardo de la Garza
De la Garza joins as general manager of NoMad Singapore. That hotel opens on Orchard Road in late 2026.
He brings more than 18 years of international hospitality experience across Six Senses, Hyatt Hotels and Accor. His most recent post was general manager of The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon.
London: John Sutherland
Sutherland rejoins NoMad London as general manager. He was an original member of the pre-opening team for NoMad New York and NoMad London.
He helped lead the London hotel's commercial strategy from launch and served as interim general manager during its inaugural year.
What the three hires follow
Kristen Millar, chief brand officer at NoMad Hotels, placed the three appointments against the three markets. She described London as established five years after opening, Singapore as close to its debut, and Detroit as a new chapter for the brand.
"Jason's deep connection to Detroit, combined with more than two decades spent creating distinctive, culturally driven hospitality experiences, makes him an incredibly exciting addition to the global NoMad team," she said. "With London firmly established five years after opening, Singapore in the final stages ahead of its debut later this year, and Detroit representing an exciting new chapter for NoMad, we're delighted to welcome Jason and Bernardo to the team, and to have John rejoin."
