Two Appointments at the Bournemouth Office
Daish's Holidays has appointed Imran Muhammad as Group Financial Controller and Craig Hodgkinson to an operational leadership role. Both sit at the group's Bournemouth head office and work across its portfolio of 11 UK hotels.
The group states the two appointments bring almost 40 years of combined hospitality experience. It describes itself as an independent coach holiday group.
The Booking Numbers the Group Publishes
Daish's reported a 12 per cent year-on-year rise in group bookings for 2026 in its June release. Clubs and societies, friendship groups and multi-generational families drove the increase.
The same release gives the property detail. Barrowfield Hotel in Newquay recorded group bookings up by more than 60 per cent and guest numbers up by almost 130 per cent, with group sizes from 12 to 160 people. Prince Regent Hotel in Weymouth ran group bookings up 13 per cent and holidaymaker numbers up 32 per cent. Abbey Lawn Hotel in Torquay recorded a 14 per cent rise. Daish's Hotel on the Isle of Wight ran group bookings up seven per cent year to date.
The 12 per cent carries no baseline and no room-night figure. The group publishes no revenue, no occupancy and no rate for the 11 hotels, so the channel read has a direction and no size.
Sold Direct, Two Ways
The group sells coach holidays and self-drive holidays from its own site. Its published group spread runs from a club of 12 to a party of 160. Children travel free or at a discounted price depending on age, by the group's own terms.
The group named itself a finalist in the Best Company for UK Coach and Touring Holidays category at the 2026 Group Leisure and Travel Awards.
The Estate Spend Behind the Bookings
In January 2026 the group announced a £1 million refurbishment across 10 of its hotels, covering 155 bedrooms plus entertainment, dining and lounge areas. Work ran from early January inside the hotels' traditional closure period.
Paul Harper, commercial director, stated that the investment targets guest expectations and keeps the hotels competitive in the UK coach holiday sector.
The Two Remits
Muhammad leads the finance function. His listed responsibilities are management reporting, financial controls, compliance and the development of the finance team. He brings 14 years in hospitality finance, after a London accountancy practice and the finance function at Oceana Hotels from 2015.
Hodgkinson oversees operational performance across the hotels. His listed responsibilities are support for general managers, consistent standards, recruitment, training, compliance and continuous improvement. He brings more than 25 years in the hospitality sector, including area manager and operations director roles.
Two Titles for One Job
The opening line of the release names Hodgkinson as Operations Manager. The paragraph setting out his remit states that he joins the business as Operations Director. Both wordings sit in the same document.
George Brown, managing director, stated that both appointments reflect continued investment in the business and that the financial leadership and operational experience strengthen it.
