The Published Opening Date
Hyatt dated the release 15 September 2026 and set the opening in December. Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort opens as an all-inclusive property.
Caribbean Journal carried 10 December 2026 on 16 September. On 4 June the same outlet had reported reservations open for stays from 17 November. The December date replaced that earlier window.
The property takes Category E as an all-inclusive. A standard room redeems for 35,000 to 75,000 World of Hyatt points per night.
The Rate Card Behind the Window
The Points Guy published the opening rates on 16 September. A single adult starts at $382 per night. Double occupancy starts at $588.
A booking deadline sits on top of those rates. Bookings made by 30 September take up to 35 per cent off paid stays of three or more nights between 1 December 2026 and 31 March 2027.
Hyatt's release carries no rate of its own. The rate card comes out of the award-travel coverage of the booking engine.
What the Single Rate Covers
One nightly price carries the amenity stack. The resort lists 14 food and beverage outlets, nine outdoor pools across multiple levels, the private Beach Club and its restaurant, the Ritua Sanctuary Spa, the fitness centre and the Grand Kids Club.
Kaab serves international breakfast, buffet and lunch. Grand Café & Market, the Saká pool bar, Fiera Tacos, Paradiso and Leonora's Boulevardier Bar & Terraza cover coffee, snacks, grilled food and cocktails.
Grand Club rooms add the lounge, with continental breakfast and afternoon cocktails.
Inventory and Group Space
The release counts 500 guestrooms, including 47 suites. Every room carries a private terrace with an ocean or marina view. Select suites add a private pool.
The Points Guy splits the same total as 453 rooms and 47 suites. The two figures sum to 500.
The resort holds approximately 30,000 square feet of flexible indoor event space on a single level. The Great Ballroom divides into eight sections, with two breakout rooms and a boardroom alongside.
The release sets no price on that space and no group rate.
Ownership and Access
Grupo Diestra owns the resort. The property sits inside Puerto Cancun, a private gated community with a marina, a golf course, shopping and dining.
The resort sits about 25 minutes from Cancun International Airport. Hyatt calls the property the Grand Hyatt brand's debut in Cancun.
Hyatt's portfolio held more than 1,500 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 83 countries across six continents as of 30 June 2026.
