Four Stars of the Industry awards for Hotel Celare
Hotel Celare collected four awards at the Ohio Hotel & Lodging Association Stars of the Industry Awards for Greater Cincinnati. The Shaner-managed property named the winners in a post dated 23 September 2026.
The post names each winner with the category taken: Front Desk of the Year, Faris Al Mughrabi; Manager of the Year, Rezzan Bingol; Engineer of the Year, Donald Norman; and Food & Beverage Team Member of the Year, Christopher Colwell. Dave Coyle drew a Housekeeper of the Year nomination.
The event
OHLA runs the Greater Cincinnati Stars of the Industry Luncheon. The association's calendar places the 2026 lunch on Tuesday 22 September 2026 at the First Financial Convention Center, 525 Elm Street, Cincinnati. The Shaner post appeared the following day.
OHLA describes the Stars of the Industry programme as a membership benefit with a free nomination process. Nominees and local winners are recognised at a luncheon in the late summer, and the statewide awards follow at the association's annual conference in November.
Two category names differ from the association's own list
The post writes Front Desk of the Year and Manager of the Year. OHLA publishes those two categories as Front Desk Associate of the Year and Supervisor/Manager of the Year. Engineer of the Year, Food & Beverage Team Member of the Year and Housekeeper of the Year match the association's own names.
The property behind the awards
Hotel Celare opened in Cincinnati Midtown. Shaner announced the opening on 18 January 2025 and called the 171-room hotel its first Marriott Tribute Portfolio property. The announcement congratulated general manager Kollin Hanes, director of sales Tracy Hartman and Bingol, then director of operations. David Coyle appears in the same post among the leaders welcomed to the company.
What the record rests on
The employer's own post is the only record that names the four winners. A Google News RSS query for the award and the city returns nothing, and no outlet beyond Shaner names any of the four. The winner list rests on the Shaner post.
