Radisson Hotel Group published a Middle East and Northeast Africa development update on 29 September 2026. The update covers twelve months of signings, openings and conversions across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. It reports more than 1,500 keys signed in Saudi Arabia across 2025 and 2026.
The group's stated regional ambition is 150 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments in operation and under development by 2030. Elie Milky, Regional Chief Development Officer for the Middle East, Northeast Africa, Greece and Cyprus, frames the period around owner confidence and a widening asset mix.
Saudi Arabia: 50 hotels open and under development, 100 by 2030
Saudi Arabia carries 50 Radisson hotels open and under development. The group places the Kingdom among its five largest global markets and targets 100 hotels in operation and under development there by 2030.
Openings in 2026 added close to 1,000 keys across Riyadh, Jeddah and Makkah. The update names Radisson Collection Residences, Riyadh, Radisson Hotel Jeddah Tahlia and Radisson Thakher Makkah City. The group expects almost 1,000 further keys in the Kingdom by 2027.
In Madinah, an agreement with Knowledge Economic City covers a Park Inn by Radisson hotel and serviced apartments. The project adds 733 keys, split between a 587-key hotel and 146 serviced apartments. Radisson Hotel Madinah and Radisson Residences Makkah Thakher City are the other two Saudi projects named in the update. In Riyadh the group signed AMSA VUE, a member of Radisson Individuals.
Ras Al Khaimah: two signed projects
Radisson RED Ras Al Khaimah on Marjan Island carries 269 rooms and will be the first Radisson RED in the emirate. It is developed with BB Holding and includes private beach access, four dining venues, a rooftop restaurant and meetings space.
Radisson Blu Hotel, RAK Central and Radisson Blu Residences, RAK Central are signed with BNW Developments. The dual-tower project is due to open in 2029 inside the 3.1 million-square-foot RAK Central master plan. It comprises a 361-key hotel and 222 branded residences.
Abu Dhabi: the first standalone Radisson Residences
Radisson Residences Al Reem Island, developed with Royal Development Holding, is the group's first standalone Radisson Residences project worldwide. It comprises three residential towers connected by a shared podium.
The developer launched Phase Two on 21 September 2026. Phase Two is the third tower and holds 437 furnished branded residences, mostly studios and one-bedroom apartments alongside a small number of two-bedroom townhouses. It sits inside the AED 1.45 billion development. Phase One sold out within 24 hours of its launch, per Construction Business News Middle East. The Radisson update publishes no sales figure for either phase.
Egypt: five hotels open, eight under development
Egypt carries five Radisson hotels in operation and eight under development. The update states an ambition of 30 hotels in operation and under development by 2030.
The signed projects are the 160-room Radisson Blu Resort El Almain on the North Coast, the group's second resort in that destination, and Radisson Collection Resort, Marsa Alam Port Venice on the Red Sea coast. In Greater Cairo, the group signed the 398-key Radisson Serviced Apartments Kawn 6th of October City with Elaf inside a mixed-use development that also holds office space. A management agreement with Al Naser Developments covers 150 Radisson Serviced Apartments in the New Administrative Capital, the group's first property in that city.
What the mix change does for an owner
The update names conversions as the shorter route to international distribution and loyalty reach for an owner holding an existing asset. Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Barsha Heights opened as a conversion on that argument.
Serviced apartments and branded residences extend the stay and reach residential buyers. Resorts and mixed-use schemes place the brand inside a destination ahead of its first trading year. The three countries in the update carry all four shapes.
What the update does not publish
The document carries no development cost or project value for any named property, no room rate, no minimum stay and no management or franchise terms. It gives no construction start date for the RAK Central towers or the Egypt projects, and no key count for Radisson Hotel Madinah or Radisson Residences Makkah Thakher City.
The company block in the same document reports more than 1,660 Radisson Hotel Group properties in operation and under development across more than 100 countries, ten brands, and more than 29 million Radisson Rewards members.
