A Saturday Clock That Fixes the Arrival Night
ISSMA holds the Open Class State Marching Band Finals at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday 7 November 2026. The venue's event page publishes the clock: 7:45 a.m. ticket office, 9:00 a.m. North and West Gates, 9:30 a.m. start. The venue's dated events feed runs the same record to 11:59 p.m., which puts the published span at 869 minutes.
A 9:00 a.m. gate on a Saturday places the arrival night on Friday 6 November. ISSMA publishes no booking figure for that night. The venue publishes none either.
The Room Side Has No Manager
ISSMA runs no lodging programme. Seven of its pages carry zero mentions of hotel, lodging, housing or accommodation: the marching band page, the calendar, the entry forms, the organisation information page, the solo and ensemble page, the required materials page and the news page.
The venue hands the room side to a third party. Its Hotels & Lodging link resolves to a Visit Indy list carrying 64 properties, every one tagged Indianapolis, IN, ranked from 0.03 miles to 9.97 miles from the stadium.
Fourteen of the 64 sit at half a mile or closer. Twenty-one sit at 0.62 miles or closer, 31 within a mile, and 29 at five miles or more. Every distance string carries the publisher's own footnote that actual driving distance may vary.
The list carries no rate. Every record's price object is null and the page prints "Please enter dates to see rates". No cut-off date and no attrition term sits above the Friday night either.
The Group Size the Organiser Does Publish
ISSMA's 2026-2027 rule changes set the field-pass allowance: 36 field passes for each participating band at all Scholastic and Open class events, with an extra sheet of six purchasable at the time of entry. Across the 42 bands the venue counts, that is 1,512 passes. At the purchased ceiling it is 1,764. Both figures are arithmetic on two published numbers.
No page on issma.net publishes a chaperone, bus driver or booster count. Seven pages carry no such word, so the travel party behind the passes has no published size.
ISSMA's media policy rules on what the pass buys. Band and booster photographers cannot hold a State Finals media pass, and a pass holder must photograph from the spectator seating area. A pass does not include the right to use a camera on the field.
The Booking Route the Venue Publishes
Tickets are mobile only and not returnable. The prices are $30.00 for an adult and $25.00 for a student or child, and both exclude fees. Ticketmaster adds $7.75 a ticket and caps an order at 50.
The stadium ticket office sells advance tickets in person on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern with no additional fee. It takes credit cards with photo ID that matches the card, and it refuses cash and checks. A participating band can buy through its director under a group route that carries no additional fee.
On the day, the Southeast Ticket Office is the only window, and it opens at 7:45 a.m. The NFL Clear Bag Policy applies for the event and the stadium is cashless.
The Turn to the Sunday Game
The same stadium feed rows the Colts against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday 8 November. That page publishes a 9:00 a.m. ticket office, 10:00 a.m. Touchdown Town, 11:00 a.m. gates and a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
From the finals' 11:59 p.m. close to the Colts ticket office is 541 minutes. Capacity held for the Sunday sits inside that interval.
The next stadium booking is Music For All's Bands of America Grand National Championship on 12 to 14 November, the only multi-day event in the run. Its published clock opens the South Parking Lot at 6:00 a.m. and begins competition at 7:00 a.m.
What the Record Still Withholds
ISSMA publishes no State Finals performance schedule. Its marching band page links schedules for the Festival Class, the Scholastic prelims and the Open Class Regionals. Its results block reads "Coming Soon" for every round, the Open Class State Finals included.
The 9:30 a.m. start is therefore the only published marker for the band clocks on 7 November. The venue page sends the running order to issma.net.
