Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group named Danny Dolce senior vice president of business development. The company published the appointment on 5 October 2026.
The hire carries a growth mandate. Dolce will lead the expansion of the Lodging Dynamics third-party management portfolio. The company names luxury, premium-branded and full-service hotels in destination-driven markets as the segments in scope.
The growth mandate
The release states the remit in a single line. Dolce will lead expansion of the company's third-party management portfolio, the hotels Lodging Dynamics operates for other owners. The segments named are the upper end of the branded market and full-service properties. The market type named is the destination-driven market. The release sets out no revenue target, no quota and no headcount for the role.
Four hundred percent since 2021
The appointment lands inside a growth period the release describes as sustained. Lodging Dynamics reports it has grown 400 percent in total portfolio revenue since Jamie Caraher became president and chief executive officer in 2021. The release attaches that figure to total portfolio revenue rather than to the third-party portfolio alone.
The company portfolio page listed 23 properties on 13 October 2026 across Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Montana, Utah and Washington. The list carries Marriott, Hilton and independent brands.
The chief executive on the hire
Caraher tied the appointment to the conversation the company has with owners. “Owners want an operator who understands their investment as well as their hotel,” he said. “Danny learned this business inside an operating company, then spent more than three decades earning the trust of owners, lenders and investors. That combination is rare.”
He continued: “He knows what it takes to run a hotel well and what an owner needs from the operator they hire, and that is exactly the conversation we want to be having as we grow.”
A record built in third-party contracts
The release credits Dolce with 34 years in hospitality real estate and management contract acquisition. Dolce is the son of Andrew J. Dolce, the founder of Dolce Hotels and Resorts. The release states the background shaped his approach to deal-making and that he brings an operator perspective to every deal.
The contract record the release cites runs across historic estates, mountain resorts and conference centers serving Fortune 500 clients. During his tenure with Dolce Hotels and Resorts, the release states he helped double that company's third-party management portfolio from 12 hotels to 24 hotels over four years.
At AD1 Hospitality, the release states he secured management of two properties. The first is Tarrytown House Estate, a historic property in metro New York that the release says produces more than $20 million in total revenue. The second is Zermatt Resort in Midway, Utah, near Park City and Deer Valley, which the release describes as a $20 million-plus revenue property.
Dolce has held senior positions with AD1 Hospitality, M&R Hotel Group, Pyramid Hotel Group, Millennium Hotels and Resorts and Dolce Hotels and Resorts. He has served on advisory groups affiliated with the International Association of Conference Centers, EMC Venues and Cvent, with a focus on corporate group meetings and training. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from Drexel University.
He mentors students pursuing hospitality careers at Drexel University and Montclair State University, according to the release.
Dolce on both sides of the table
Dolce described the owner conversation the role turns on. “Every owner comes to the table with different objectives, and our job is to understand those priorities, align with them and work toward the returns they are seeking,” he said. “I grew up watching my father build an operating company, so I look at every deal from both sides of the table.”
He named what drew him to the company. “What drew me to Lodging Dynamics is the combination of an experienced team, an owner-focused approach and the flexibility to pursue opportunities creatively. The ability to invest alongside owners further aligns our interests from day one,” he said.
The company behind the role
Lodging Dynamics was founded in 1991 by Paul Sybrowsky, Keith Wilson and Bill Bancroft, according to the company About page. That page states the founders developed the first Marriott franchised hotel in Utah, a Fairfield Inn in Provo. It reports awards including the Horizon Award, Partnership Circle Award and Guest Satisfaction Awards. The company headquarters are in Provo, Utah.
What the announcement does not state
The release names no predecessor in the role. It sets no effective date and no start date for Dolce. It states no reporting line for the position. The release gives no sales target, no quota and no team size attached to the mandate, and no timetable for the portfolio expansion. The destination-driven description is the only market guidance it carries.
The 12-to-24 hotel portfolio figure, the two $20 million revenue figures, the advisory group memberships and the university mentoring are the company's own statements rather than audited figures.
