Marriott International signed an agreement with FICO Corporation for seven hotels in Thailand. The release projects 1,262 keys across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket and counts three brand debuts: citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Series by Marriott. No opening dates, rate positions or booking windows are published.

Marriott Signs Seven Hotels With FICO Corporation

Marriott International signed an agreement with FICO Corporation for seven hotels in Thailand. The release projects 1,262 keys across Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket.

Marriott's own subhead reads more than 1,200 keys. The body of the release gives 1,262, and that figure is the one to carry.

The Bangkok Cluster

JW Marriott Bangkok Sathorn is expected at 288 keys. citizenM Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 is anticipated at 147 keys and would mark the brand's Thai debut. Four Points Flex by Sheraton adds three Bangkok addresses: Sukhumvit 8 at 162 keys, Sukhumvit 14 at 130 keys and Surawong at 201 keys. The release places all three close to the city's BTS skytrain network.

Those five properties total 928 keys. A separate trade reading of the release gives the same Bangkok subtotal.

Pattaya and Phuket

Series by Marriott takes both resort properties. Easy Planet North Pattaya is expected at 192 keys and Easy Planet Phuket Patong at 142 keys. The Easy Planet group's own hotel pages list the two sites at 192 rooms and 142 rooms.

The two resort counts and the Bangkok subtotal sum to 1,262. Series by Marriott is Marriott's newest collection brand.

Three Brands New to Thailand

citizenM, Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Series by Marriott all enter the country here. JW Marriott already trades in Thailand, so that element is an expansion.

Marriott completed its acquisition of citizenM on 23 July 2025. The brand carried 37 open hotels and 8,789 rooms across more than 20 cities at that date, and Marriott said it would integrate the portfolio into its systems and platforms.

Four Points Flex by Sheraton and Four Points by Sheraton are separate brands in the Marriott system. The release carries both names.

The Existing Bangkok Set

Marriott and FICO already hold four Bangkok hotels under four brands: Hotel Muse Bangkok, Autograph Collection; Marriott Executive Apartments Bangkok Townhall Sukhumvit; Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok Ploenchit Sukhumvit; and Metropole Bangkok, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.

The release puts the joint portfolio at 11 hotels across eight brands, with three brand debuts.

What the Signing Does Not Fix

The release publishes no opening dates, no rate position and no booking window. Every key count and every brand entry reads expected, anticipated or set to. None of the seven hotels is bookable on the terms published.

The Quotes

“We are delighted to further strengthen our relationship with FICO Corporation through this significant expansion in Thailand,” said Rajeev Menon, president of Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International.

Krit Srichawla, chairman of FICO Corporation, set out the group's own reasoning. “This expansion gives us the opportunity to bring that thinking into our hospitality portfolio and create experiences that are relevant not only to our guests, but also to the communities around us,” he said.
