Rotana signed an Edge by Rotana property in Beirut with ACHRAFIEH 5418 SAL. The signing was reported on 30 September 2026.
The building trades with 85 units. The agreement covers a full renovation and an expansion to 95 units, with meeting space added alongside the rooms.
The property is expected to open under Edge by Rotana in January 2027. The announcement fixes the month and gives no day.
Edge by Rotana is the group's collection of independent hotels. Rotana operates six brands: Rotana Hotels & Resorts, Centro Hotels, Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts, Arjaan Hotel Apartments, Edge by Rotana and The Residences by Rotana.
The other additions this year
Rotana lists two UAE additions this year, Bloom Arjaan by Rotana and Rotana Ras Al Khaimah - The Mangroves, and two in Saudi Arabia, Edge Riyadh - Al Rabie and The Residences by Rotana.
The digital programme
Rotana is integrating its voice AI pilot, Rotana Chat AI, into its website to support hotel operations.
The executives on the record
Eddy Tannous, chief operating officer, placed the signing against the cycle. "Rotana was built in this region, and our belief in its long-term potential has never changed," he said. "Hospitality will always move through different cycles, but our approach is to look beyond the immediate environment and keep building for the future."
Makram El Zyr, corporate vice president for development, set out the opportunity mix. "Hospitality development in the region is becoming much more diverse, and there is no longer one model for growth," he said. "For Rotana, that means being able to respond to opportunities whether existing assets, new projects, branded residences or new concepts."
