The Supply Coming Into the Booking Mix
Royal Orchid Hotels Limited is adding small properties at a published rate. Keshav Baljee, executive director, told Hospitality Biz India that the company runs around 125 operational hotels with another 50 projects underway, and that it adds eight to ten properties to its development pipeline every quarter. The interview was published on 15 September 2026 under the byline P Krishna Kumar.
The company's own Q1 FY27 results, published on 11 August 2026, put the portfolio at 123-plus hotels and more than 11,350 keys including signed properties. The release states a pipeline of 50-plus upcoming properties representing over 3,600 keys. Five hotels opened in the quarter for 237 keys, in Hyderabad, Tirupati, Ahmedabad and Rishikesh.
The release states the Vision 2030 target at 345 hotels and 22,000 keys. Those are the keys a reservations desk will see arrive.
The Brand Built for 30 to 60 Rooms
Baljee positions Z by Regenta as the company's most franchise-friendly brand. It is designed for smaller full-service neighbourhood hotels in the 30-to-60-room category, and for entrepreneurs who develop and partly self-manage a property while buying the company's systems and standards.
ROHL's launch material for Z by Regenta City Centre Ahmedabad describes the brand as a contemporary lifestyle brand created for Gen Z and millennial travellers. Its stated terms are energetic design, digital-first conveniences, functional comfort and affordable pricing.
The Ahmedabad property carries 43 accommodations: 42 Deluxe Rooms at 180 square feet and one Suite at 250 square feet. It sits in Vastrapur and the partner is PrimeStay Hospitality. The company's site lists seven Regenta Z addresses in its upcoming-hotels block, at Amritsar, Vrindavan, Orai, Vijayawada, Vizag, Dhule and Ahmedabad. That block is a pipeline list, and the company publishes no count of open Z hotels.
The Loyalty Channel Behind the Hampton Franchise
Hilton's release from 8 April 2026 records a strategic agreement with Regenta Hotels Private Limited to sign and open 125 Hampton by Hilton hotels in India. The franchised hotels will be developed primarily across western and southern markets, including Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and join more than 3,100 Hampton by Hilton properties trading globally.
The same release states that Hampton by Hilton hotels participate in Hilton Honors. It lists the terms for members who book through preferred Hilton channels: points-and-money payment options, member discounts, complimentary standard Wi-Fi, digital check-in, room selection and Digital Key.
The Sales Organisation the Owner Buys
The interview puts the sales force at more than 100 personnel across the country. Baljee describes the platform as senior management, supervisory teams, software platforms, sales and development teams, project execution and marketing, with the same teams applied across a larger asset base.
He says the company would rather add fewer hotels while protecting service quality. "I would rather slow things down and then speed things up," he says.
What Neither Document Publishes
A rate, a parity term, a booking window and a cancellation term appear in neither the interview nor the Hilton release. A reservations leader reading both documents learns the brand structure, the room band and the loyalty channel. The commercial terms of a booking stay unpublished.
