Conor Hadlington takes the helm at Conrad Hong Kong

Conrad Hong Kong has appointed Conor Hadlington as general manager, with operations and commercial strategy in his remit at the 513-room hotel. His career spans nearly 18 years across Asia, the United States and the Middle East, with roles at Mandarin Oriental, InterContinental and Shangri-La.

Conrad Hong Kong Appoints a General Manager

Conrad Hong Kong appointed Conor Hadlington general manager on 28 September 2026. The hotel announced the appointment on 8 October, ten days after the effective date. TTG Asia reported it that day.

Hadlington leads the 513-room property at Pacific Place in Admiralty. His remit covers the hotel’s operations, its commercial strategy and brand execution.

The Remit

The appointment puts the hotel’s day-to-day operations, its commercial strategy and the delivery of brand standards under one leader. The hotel set two priorities for the role: strengthening guest loyalty and refining operational performance. Hadlington’s responsibilities cover operational performance, revenue, team development and guest experience.

Nearly 18 Years Across Three Regions

Hadlington brings nearly 18 years of hospitality experience to the post. His career spans Asia, the United States and the Middle East.

He is originally from the United Kingdom. His record includes roles with Mandarin Oriental, InterContinental and Shangri-La.

The move returns him to Hong Kong. He worked earlier at Shangri-La Group headquarters in the city and at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong, where he contributed to the renovation and launch of guest rooms, wellness concepts and event spaces.

From Food and Beverage to the General Manager Office

Hadlington began his career in food and beverage operations. He moved into commercial roles and then into leading whole properties.

A Shangri-La appointment notice named him general manager of Shangri-La Tanjung Aru in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, in November 2023. That notice credited him with revenue analysis, yield management and marketing planning. It described his experience as spanning Asia, the Middle East and the United States.

What the Hotel Says

The hotel placed weight on his international record and his reading of the region. “His broad international perspective, coupled with a strong understanding of the regional landscape, brings valuable insight as Conrad Hong Kong continues to elevate its luxury offerings for today’s discerning travellers,” the hotel stated. The announcement names no spokesperson for the quotation.

The Property and the Brand

Conrad Hong Kong holds 513 rooms at Pacific Place in Admiralty. It belongs to Conrad Hotels & Resorts, which Hilton describes as the largest brand in its luxury portfolio, with 51 hotels across five continents. The brand points to contemporary interior design, art collections, destination-led experiences and personalised service, alongside a growing residential offering.
