The signing
Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement for a 114-key Cygnett Resort near Kainchi Dham in Nainital, Uttarakhand. Suri Developers is the development partner on the project. Cygnett's own news index carried the signing on 13 October 2026. Hospitality Biz India carried the release on 6 October 2026.
The room mix and the demand it serves
The 114 keys include luxury family cottages. The property is planned with an all-day dining restaurant, banqueting facilities, a gymnasium and a swimming pool. Cygnett names destination weddings, social celebrations, corporate retreats and group stays as the demand the development is built for. It will operate under Cygnett Resort, the group's leisure hospitality brand.
Where the demand comes from
The site sits in the Kumaon hills with views of the Himalayan landscape. It is within walking distance of Neem Karoli Baba's ashram at Kainchi Dham. The release positions the property for spiritual travellers alongside leisure and weekend visitors. Cygnett already runs a hotel in the district. Cygnett Resort Mountain Breeze sits at Jeolikote in Nainital.
The founder's line
"At Cygnett, we see significant opportunity in destinations where leisure, spirituality and nature come together. Kainchi Dham holds a special place for devotees, while the wider Nainital and Kumaon region offers enduring appeal for mountain holidays and celebrations," said Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
The counters behind the brand
Cygnett's own site ran two counter blocks on 13 October 2026. One block reads nine hospitality brands, 57-plus alliances, 50-plus destinations, more than 1,200 rooms currently operating and more than 2,800 rooms in project and pre-opening. The other reads eight brands, 51-plus alliances, 45-plus destinations, more than 1,200 rooms currently operating and more than 2,500 rooms in project and pre-opening. Both blocks carry 1,515-plus Keys in Anamore Luxury. The company reported 45 hotels and resorts across 41-plus destinations with more than 4,000 operational and under-development keys in June 2026, and targets 100 hotels and 10,000 keys by 2030.
The booking route
Cygnett sells direct from its own site. The offer ladder on 13 October 2026 carried a 17 per cent code, CYG17, an early-bird 25 per cent, 30 per cent off bookings made at least 30 days ahead, 28 per cent off on stays of three nights or more, and 25 per cent off bookings made within 48 hours of arrival. The group also runs its loyalty programme through Wyndham Rewards. Its alliance with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts covers La Quinta and Registry Collection Hotels across South Asia.
The booking window
The release gives no opening date, no investment value and no acreage. It states no unit mix beyond the luxury family cottages. Cygnett's own upcoming-hotels list carries eleven names, running Anamore, Pushkar, Goa, Srinagar, Mumbai, Murud, Karjat, Panvel, Kukas Jaipur, Ayurvyaas and Chail. Kainchi Dham is not among them. The signing carries no booking window and no published rate.
One release, several copies
The same text ran on Safari India, BW Hotelier, Travel Trade Journal and HospiBuz on 6 October 2026. Each copy carries the 114 keys, Suri Developers, the Kainchi Dham location, the facilities and the Sarkar quote. No independent reporting sits behind those copies, so every figure here rests on the company's own announcement. Suri Developers works across Delhi NCR and Uttarakhand, per its own site. It markets Kainchi Retreat at Palari near Kainchi Dham, described there as a low-density retreat offering luxury villas and serviced residences.
