One general manager, two Marriott flags on the Outer Ring Road
Deep Vahi has been appointed multi-property general manager of Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road and Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road. The two properties announced the appointment on 15 October 2026. One leader now runs a Courtyard and a Fairfield.
Both properties carry the Outer Ring Road location in their names. The release describes the remit as leading both properties.
A career on Marriott's commercial side
Vahi brings nearly two decades of experience across sales, marketing and operations. He began his career with The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and joined JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu in 2008, where the release says he built his foundation in sales.
His Marriott International postings since then run through the National Sales Organization, Courtyard by Marriott Mumbai International Airport and JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu. He returned to JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu in 2021 as director of sales and marketing, moved into operations in 2024 and most recently served as hotel manager.
Those postings span a commercial post, a marketing post and an operations post inside one company. The last two sat inside one hotel.
Recognition inside the company
Marriott International has recognised his work with the President's Circle Award. He holds two Chairman's Circle Awards. He also received the Sales & Marketing Leader of the Year award for luxury in APEC.
The release names the awards and attaches no year to any of them. It names no predecessor at either property and states no effective date.
The brief the release sets
The release sets three tasks for the new general manager. He is to build on the foundations the two properties already have. He is to open new avenues for growth. He is to foster a culture where business performance, associate development and guest experience move together.
Associate development sits inside the stated remit, beside business performance, hiring, training and retention.

The release carries brand descriptions for both companies. Courtyard by Marriott counts more than 1,300 locations in nearly 60 countries and territories. Marriott International reports more than 10,000 properties in 148 countries and territories as of 30 June 2026.
Those figures describe the wider network. The appointment notice gives no room count for either Bengaluru property, no opening date and no ownership or management-company detail.

Vahi is a cricket enthusiast. The release says he both watches and plays the sport. The notice is dated 15 October 2026.
