Jonathan Rosenthal named director of food and beverage at Lost Pines
Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa has appointed Jonathan Rosenthal director of food and beverage. The resort, set along the Lower Colorado River outside Austin, announced the appointment from Cedar Creek, Texas, on 30 September 2026.
Rosenthal began his Hyatt career in 2012 and has more than two decades in hospitality. His background covers resort, culinary and multi-venue food and beverage operations.
The role
Rosenthal oversees food and beverage operations across the resort's restaurants and bars, including Maude's Bar & Terrace and Maverick's Roadhouse. He also leads catering and banquet operations.
Those two venues sit inside a wider dining programme. The resort describes eight restaurants and bars, among them Sushi by Scratch Restaurants, a 10-seat omakase counter.
The general manager on the appointment
Irby Morvant, general manager of Hyatt Regency Lost Pines, said the hire brings the operational depth and hospitality instinct the programme needs.
"Jonathan brings the kind of operational depth and hospitality instinct that will serve our food and beverage program well," Morvant said. "His experience across some of Hyatt's most recognized properties, paired with a track record of building strong teams, makes him the right leader as we look ahead to our next chapter at Lost Pines. We have exciting plans in motion to further expand our culinary program, and Jonathan's leadership will be instrumental as we bring those to life."
From Wild Dunes
Rosenthal joins from Wild Dunes Resort, where he was director of operations for food and beverage across 11 venues. Before that he spent more than three years with Miraval Resorts & Spas, as director of food and beverage at Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa and as regional culinary and beverage experience architect for Miraval Group across its three U.S. properties.
His earlier Hyatt roles include Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa & Marina, Grand Hyatt San Francisco and Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina.
