IHG Hotels & Resorts signed a management agreement with Vrindam Developers Private Limited for voco Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh. The release is dated 6 October 2026. The hotel carries 130 guestrooms, including 13 suites, and is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2031.
IHG states the signing marks Vrindam Developers Private Limited's first venture into hospitality. The property adds to IHG's premium portfolio in North India.
The demand case the release states
Vrindavan sits in the Braj region. IHG cites the district count of more than 90 million visitors in 2024 for Mathura district, against 79 million in 2023. IHG projects arrivals of 110 to 140 million a year over the next decade.
The release names road links to Delhi NCR, Agra and Mathura, the Banke Bihari Corridor and expressway improvements. It states the destination's pilgrimage demand and visitor growth create room for branded supply.
The inventory the hotel will sell
voco Vrindavan will hold more than 2,340 sqm of meeting and event space across six venues, including a 1,400 sqm ballroom. Three dining venues are planned: an all-day dining restaurant, a restaurant and a lobby lounge. A swimming pool and a fitness centre complete the published list.
The hotel forms part of a mixed-use development with guestrooms and serviced apartments. IHG states the property targets pilgrimage and leisure stays, meetings and social celebrations.
The brand and the two executives on the record
voco sits in IHG's Premium category with Noted Collection, Ruby, HUALUXE, Crowne Plaza and EVEN. IHG describes the brand around three hallmarks: Come on in, Me time and voco life.
Sudeep Jain, managing director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said Vrindavan holds a unique place in India's tourism landscape and that voco's character suits the destination's evolving expectations. Ankush Kadyan, director at Vrindam Developers Private Limited, said the signing is the company's first venture into hospitality.
