The IHSAA's 2026-27 Sports Seasons at a Glance table dates the girls swimming and diving season from an Oct. 26 first practice to the state finals on 12 and 13 February 2027. Its tourney entry list deadline is Thursday 28 January 2027. Fifteen days separate that deadline from the Friday preliminaries.
Those fifteen days carry the qualifying rounds and the rate basis for the block. A revenue, distribution or reservations lead can date each step.
The entry clock
The glance table sets an 18-contest cap, a Nov. 6 in-season roster deadline, a Jan. 28 entry list deadline and a Jan. 11-18 officials rating period. Sectionals run Feb. 4 and 6. Diving regionals run Feb. 9. The state finals run Feb. 12 and 13.
The sport page carries the same season dates without the January controls. Its 2026-27 Girls Swimming & Diving Dates heading lists first practice Oct. 26, first contest Nov. 9, sectionals Feb. 4 and 6, diving regionals Feb. 9 and state finals Feb. 12-13.
12 February 2027 is a Friday. 13 February is a Saturday. The IHSAA lists the Indiana University Natatorium at 901 W. New York St. as the finals site on its 2025-26 tournament page, and the venue's own events page carries the booking on 12-13 February 2027.
The February rate basis
Engine publishes the Indianapolis monthly curve from 1.2 million public rate observations between May 2024 and April 2026. The city average is $128 a night. February reads $107, 16 percent below that average, and Engine names February the cheapest month of the year. Indianapolis ranks 39 of the 50 markets in the set, 14 percent below the $148 median.
Engine reports par rates, the cheapest publicly available price at a live search, observed 10 to 180 days before check-in.
New supply inside the window
The Indiana Convention Center's news item states the 800-room Signia by Hilton Indianapolis is accepting reservations for stays beginning February 1, 2027. That date sits 11 days before the first session.
What the meet publishes
The IHSAA publishes no housing block, no room rate and no booking cut-off for the finals. The 2025-26 session clock ran Friday gates at 4:30 p.m. ET with preliminaries at 6 p.m. ET, and Saturday gates at 6:45 a.m. ET with diving preliminaries and semifinals at 9 a.m. ET and the finals at 1 p.m. ET.
The 2025-26 finals ladder ran $15 per session general admission, free for children five and younger in general admission seating, and a limited number of $35 reserved seats good for both days at a maximum of eight per purchase.
The venue's February
The Natatorium's events page, stamped updated 9/2/2026, lists four February 2027 bookings. The Jaguar Aquatics Winter Invitational runs 5-7, the IHSAA girls championships 12-13, the Horizon League Swimming & Diving Championships 17-20 and the IHSAA boys championships 26-27.
