Remington names Melissa Arana SVP, revenue strategy
Remington Hospitality has appointed Melissa Arana as senior vice president of revenue strategy. She will oversee revenue strategy across a portfolio of Remington-managed hotels.
Arana joins from HVMG, where she spent 15 years and most recently served as senior vice president of revenue performance and analytics.
The remit
Arana will partner with operations and sales leadership to set revenue budgets across the managed portfolio. The notice adds three duties: RevPAR Index targets, negotiated segment strategies, and the development of the company's revenue strategy leaders.
Chambers on the appointment

Fifteen years at HVMG
At HVMG, Arana led revenue, marketing and analytics strategy across the company's hotel portfolio. She held several commercial leadership roles during her 15 years there. The notice lists vice president, revenue strategy; corporate director, revenue strategy for the company's Select Brands portfolio; and regional director, revenue management.
The notice credits Arana with a key part in evolving HVMG's commercial platform. It cites work that helped transform decision-making through data, technology, forecasting and performance optimization.
More than 20 years in commercial strategy
Arana brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to the role. The notice describes that experience across commercial strategy, revenue management, business intelligence and analytics in multi-property hotel portfolios. It states her leadership focus as aligning revenue management, sales, marketing and analytics to drive profitable growth and value for hotel owners and stakeholders.
