Remington names a revenue strategy chief

Remington Hospitality has appointed Melissa Arana as senior vice president of revenue strategy. The role covers revenue strategy across the company's managed portfolio.

Remington states Arana will partner with operations and sales leadership to set revenue budgets, RevPAR Index targets and negotiated segment strategies, and will develop the company's revenue strategy leaders.

From HVMG to Remington

Arana brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience in commercial strategy, revenue management, business intelligence and analytics across multi-property portfolios. She joins from HVMG, where she most recently served as senior vice president of revenue performance and analytics.

Her 15 years at HVMG covered a series of commercial roles: vice president of revenue strategy, corporate director of revenue strategy for the Select Brands portfolio, and regional director of revenue management.

Chambers on the hire

"Melissa brings a clear understanding of how data, technology, and talent work together to drive hotel performance," said Cory Chambers, chief commercial officer at Remington. "Her experience leading revenue strategy across large portfolios will support our owners and our continued growth."

"Remington has built a strong commercial platform, and I look forward to working with the team to deliver results for owners and properties across the portfolio," Arana said.

The announcement names no effective date, no predecessor and no portfolio hotel count.
