Davidson Hospitality Group promoted Melissa Green to regional vice president, operations on 7 October 2026. The company named her to its inaugural General Manager Council on 16 June 2026. The sequence runs from the council slate to the regional seat in under four months.
Eleven property leaders in the council slate
Davidson described the council as high performers, cultural ambassadors and stewards of exceptional leadership drawn from hotels and resorts across the portfolio. The 2026 slate names 11 leaders: Andy Seal of The Westin Indianapolis; Christine Menzel of The Camby, Autograph Collection; Danielle Gilligan of FORTH Atlanta; Francesca Ramirez of Hilton Gaslamp San Diego Quarter; Joe Pinto of Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile; Eduardo Fernandez of Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort; Melissa Green of Davenport Hotel Collection; Michael Linder of Mills House Charleston, Curio Collection by Hilton; Mike Nelson of Embassy Suites Nashville Downtown; Niels Vuijsters of Asher Adams, Autograph Collection; and Seth McDaniels of Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach.
Green sits seventh in that list. Davidson states the council gives property leaders a voice in the development and roll out of corporate initiatives, processes and tools.
The collection she leaves
Green ran The Davenport Hotel Collection as vice president and area managing director. The collection holds five hotels in downtown Spokane, Washington, and its own material describes The Louie, a 48-key boutique that opened in 2025.
She launched the first annual Pacific Northwest Food & Wine Festival across those properties. Davenport's release for the 2026 edition dates it 9 to 11 October, calls it the second annual, and states the festival supports Big Table, a nonprofit that assists restaurant and hospitality workers in crisis. The release states the festival was voted one of the Best New Festivals in the USA Today 10Best 2025 Readers' Choice Awards.
The growth between the two releases
Davidson's June release put the company at 87 existing hotels and resorts and more than 230 restaurants, bars and lounges. Its October release puts the company at 90 existing hotels and resorts and more than 240 restaurants, bars and lounges. The meeting space figure holds at 1.4 million square feet in both.
Reader's statement ties the promotion to operating delivery and to a culture of excellence. The company describes an owners' mentality and a preferred-operator position with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Kimpton, Margaritaville and Nobu. Four operating verticals carry the work: Davidson Hotels, Pivot, Davidson Resorts and Davidson Restaurant Group.
