The commercial surface Hyatt published
Hyatt announced on 10 September 2026 that a Hyatt affiliate signed a franchise agreement with an affiliate of CL Capital for the Oxford Witney Hotel. The property holds 130 rooms. InnPractice takes the operation. Hyatt expects the hotel to join the JdV by Hyatt portfolio by the end of 2026, which puts the brand into the United Kingdom for the first time.
The release publishes the trading shape: 130 guestrooms, a restaurant and a bar sourcing produce from local suppliers, and 1,205 square feet of flexible meetings and events space able to host up to 90 guests.
No room category split, no meetings day rate, no rate card and no event minimum accompany the announcement.
The window closes inside 2026
Hyatt publishes no opening date. The release states the hotel is expected to join the brand portfolio by the end of 2026, and that details of the opening will follow as the project progresses.
THP News reported on 22 September 2026 that the conversion will be quick to market, with the rebranded hotel opening in weeks. THP News describes a substantial refurbishment of the common areas and the 130 bedrooms ahead of the rebrand.
No direct booking surface yet
Head for Points noted on 16 September 2026 that the hotel was not on the Hyatt website and that the property's own site was not working. The property publishes no rate card, no room mix and no meetings capacity sheet on a live domain.
The brand page, the rate plan and the property content land with the rebrand. A reservations team has no published inventory to sell until then.
The asset behind the conversion
CL Capital owns the hotel. THP News reports the building has in recent years been let under a government contract to house asylum seekers, and describes the refurbishment as substantial.
InnPractice has been appointed by CL Capital to operate the hotel after its transition to the JdV by Hyatt brand. No fee, no contract term and no performance target for the appointment accompanies the announcement.

The brand's forward supply
JdV by Hyatt sits in Hyatt's Lifestyle portfolio. Hyatt states its portfolio included more than 1,500 hotels and all-inclusive properties in 83 countries as of 30 June 2026.
THP News places most of the brand's current pipeline in Asia, predominantly China. Two further JdV properties are reported to open before the end of 2026: JdV by Hyatt Light City Penang in Malaysia, and Fila House Shanghai, a 117-room new build.
The UK pipeline reads as London and Scotland. THP News lists Hyatt Place London Paddington, an 87-room conversion of a listed property, for 2027; Hyatt Centric Edinburgh Haymarket as a 362-room new build for early 2028; and the Brae of Angus development for a 2029 opening. The Hyatt Regency London Olympia has opened as part of the Olympia exhibition centre development.
Where the rooms sit
Hyatt states Witney is the largest market town in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. The hotel sits within walking distance of the town center, about 15 miles west of Oxford, and within reach of the Cotswolds.
Hyatt names a twice-weekly market, the Corn Exchange arts venue in Market Square, Cogges Manor Farm, the River Windrush, Witney Lake and Country Park, and day trips to Oxford, Blenheim Palace and Minster Lovell Hall.
Anna Corkill, RVP Development UK and Ireland at Hyatt, called the UK entry an important milestone for the brand. Graham Norris, Managing Partner at InnPractice, called the signing a landmark moment for the operator and for the brand's arrival in the UK.
