The Promotion and the Remit
The Landmark Collection promoted Sally Beck to deputy managing director of the group and managing director of The Landmark London. She holds both roles at once. She reports to managing director Brian Hladnik and works with the owners, Thailand's Sihanatkakul family.
The Caterer reported the appointment on 15 September 2026. Hospitality & Catering News carried it on 16 September 2026. The group trades under The Landmark Collection name after its transition from The Lancaster Landmark Hotel Company.
The Estate Behind the Turnover Figure
The Caterer puts the group's London estate at five properties and the combined turnover of the five businesses at approximately 160 million pounds. Three are hotels: Royal Lancaster London, Hotel Indigo London K West and The Landmark London. Two are aparthotels: 15 Basil Street and Fountain House.
Hospitality & Catering News counts seven properties across two countries. It lists the UK arm as The Landmark London, Royal Lancaster London, 15 Basil Street, Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd's Bush and Fountain House, with The Landmark Bangkok and Lancaster Bangkok in Thailand.
The Commercial Record at Royal Lancaster London
Beck ran the Royal Lancaster London as general manager from 2013. Hospitality & Catering News records an 85 million pound refurbishment completed while the hotel stayed open, and annual turnover rising from 30 million pounds in 2013 to more than 60 million pounds.
Hospitality & Catering News records the Tripadvisor movement: the hotel rose from number 272 among London hotels to number one, and in 2026 ranked number one in the UK, number two in Europe and number four globally. The Caterer describes it as ranked by Tripadvisor as the best in the UK and the fourth best in the world this year.
Beck put staff turnover at 14.6% across a 411-room hotel, in an interview with The Caterer.
The Sales Background She Brings Back
Beck worked at The Landmark London as director of sales and marketing from 2001 to 2012. The Caterer records her joining the group in 2001 in that role and her move to the Royal Lancaster London general managership in 2013.
The Caterer reports that Beck continues to oversee the Royal Lancaster London until a successor is appointed. No party published a start date for either new role, a contract term or a salary.
Recognition Behind the Appointment
Hospitality & Catering News records Hotelier of the Year in 2019 and a Master Innholder since 2018. It adds general manager of the year at the 2025 BEAM Awards. It records her founding The Hoteliers' Charter in 2021, an initiative on workplace culture.
The two outlets differ on her tenure at the Royal Lancaster London. Hospitality & Catering News and Beck's own quoted words give 13 years. The Caterer gives 14.
