Sketchfest Runs on 93 Named Staff Across 29 Headings

The organiser's About page names 93 people under 29 headings for the 18-day January run in 2027, with 51 of them in theater assistance, driving and box office. No wage, hourly rate or contract length appears on the site.

Ninety-Three Names for One Festival

SF Sketchfest returns 14 to 31 January 2027. The home page carries that window in its banner and names the 24th year of the San Francisco Comedy Festival.

The organiser's About page publishes a Festival Staff block with 93 names under 29 headings. Twenty-eight of those headings name a role. The 29th credits the 2026 artwork.

The staff block sits below three founder biographies. A 14-name Advisory Board sits above it, and a Special Thanks list sits below.

The Shape of the Roster

The smallest heading carries one name. Theater Assistants is the largest, at 33 names.

Four further headings carry a single name each: Festival Producer and Managing Director, Director of Production, Technical Director, and Festival Operations Manager.

Twelve headings name one person each: Publicist, Box Office Consultant, Box Office Manager, Events Manager, Festival HQ Manager, Theater Operations Manager, Artist Services Director, Artist Services Liaison, Marketing Manager, Graphic Designer, Sponsorship Manager and Social Media and Content Coordinator.

Founders and Directors carries three names. Transportation Manager and Transportation Coordinator carry one each. Stage Managers carries three, Technicians five, Associate Production Managers five and Venue Managers three. Artist Services Managers carries two and Production Assistants carries two.

Box Officers carries eight names. Drivers carries ten.

The Deepest Bench Sits Front of House

Theater Assistants, Drivers and Box Officers account for 51 of the 93 names. That is 55 percent of the roster across three headings.

The production line carries 14 names across four headings. Director of Production holds one, Associate Production Managers five, Stage Managers three, and Technicians five.

The transportation line carries two names across two headings.

Ninety-three names across an 18-day run works out at about five names for each day.

Where the Crew Works

The venue page lists 12 entries across 11 street addresses. Two of those entries fall in one building at 2 Marina Blvd, Building B, on the second and third floors.

The 2026 session grid names 13 rooms, one of them 12th Street BART Station. The grid ran 216 sessions from 15 January to 1 February 2026, with a separate block on 18 February 2026.

The Clock a Shift Is Built On

Cobb's carries an in-person window of Wednesday and Thursday 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., Friday 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., Saturday 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., plus two hours before door time on any show night.

The Punch Line carries Tuesday 5:30 to 8:45 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 6:00 to 8:45 p.m., Friday 5:30 to 10:00 p.m., Saturday 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 5:30 to 8:45 p.m.

The Great American Music Hall carries Fridays 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. and the same two-hour door window.

Eight rooms publish one window: from 60 minutes before any SF Sketchfest show to 15 minutes after the show begins. The Sydney Goldstein Theater publishes a phone route in place of that window, at 415-392-4400, Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The schedule page adds a queue rule. A line begins about 60 to 90 minutes before showtime.

Three of the 12 entries carry an age rule. Cobb's and the Punch Line post 18 and over, and the Great American Music Hall posts 6 and over.

The Cost Line Is Not Published

The About page carries names and headings. It carries no pay figure.

The Jobs page reads "No open positions" and "There are no open positions at this time."

The 2026 recap page dates the prior edition to 15 January to 1 February 2026 and calls it the 23rd Annual SF Sketchfest.

The City Bench Behind the Crew

The AHLA and CHLA Oxford Economics study of 25 June 2026 reports that hotels supported nearly 50,000 jobs in San Francisco, about 16,000 of them direct and about 34,000 ancillary.

The same release reports more than $12 billion in economic impact for 2025, $2 billion in total taxes, and about $900 in citywide spending per visitor per room night.

The study measures the city's hotel workforce. The festival roster measures its own 18-day run.
