Eleven Properties Live and a Twelfth Named
Eleven participating YOTEL properties now sit inside the reservation booking channels of Hilton. Hilton Honors members can discover and book those hotels through Hilton's own booking platforms, earn and redeem Hilton Honors points on eligible stays, and take the instant benefits that attach to a booking made through Hilton's official channels.
The Gate reported the count on 8 October 2026 and named the property behind it. YOTEL Tokyo Ginza, in Japan, is the twelfth and will be fully integrated next.
The Agreement Behind the Integration
Hilton announced the exclusive agreement with YOTEL on 19 March 2026, in a release datelined McLean, Virginia and London. Hilton's own description places the deal in the growing lifestyle segment and frames it as a franchise agreement that adds YOTEL's urban hotels to the company's network inside its asset-light model.
The release carried a forward line at the time. The first hotels were expected to be available for booking through Hilton channels later in 2026.
The release states that the Hilton brand raises visibility and demand for YOTEL without altering the experience that defines the YOTEL brand.
What Select by Hilton Is
YOTEL entered Hilton as the first brand in Select by Hilton, which Hilton's release describes as newly established. The same release sets out the platform's terms. A hotel brand that joins Select by Hilton keeps its own identity and its own brand management, and connects to Hilton Honors and to Hilton's distribution and technology platforms.
Hilton describes the platform as one that will grow into a brand creating new ways to stay for guests, with the trust, confidence and perks guests expect from Hilton. Hilton's own site carries Select by Hilton in the same brand navigation as its established brands. The corporate block beneath the release puts the group at 28 brands, more than 9,400 properties and nearly 1.4 million rooms across 144 countries and territories.
The Two Sides on the Record
Christian Charnaux, Hilton's executive vice president and chief development officer, said the addition of YOTEL to Hilton's network was the latest example of the company's commitment to capital efficient growth through a relationship that complements its existing brand portfolio. He tied the agreement to the company's network effect. "This agreement further strengthens our network effect by connecting a beloved independent brand like YOTEL into the powerful Hilton Honors network and commercial distribution system, while preserving what makes the brand unique," he said.
Phil Andreopoulos, YOTEL's chief executive officer, put the gain on Hilton's global distribution and loyalty scale. "What changes for YOTEL is access, not identity, in a capital-light, and scalable way," he said.
The YOTEL Platform at the Signing
Hilton's release records the scale YOTEL brought into the agreement. YOTEL continued to manage and license its brand independently at 23 hotels across 10 countries, with a goal of more than tripling its portfolio in the coming years.
YOTEL launched in London in 2007 and runs highly efficient hotels in urban markets. The room product carries the YOTEL SmartBed, which converts from a flatbed to a sofa at the touch of a button, and automated luggage storage. Hilton's release names New York, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Glasgow and Singapore among the brand's markets.
The Loyalty Reach on the Other Side
Hilton's release states that nearly 250 million Hilton Honors members book directly through preferred Hilton channels, and that those members reach instant benefits and contactless technology through the Hilton Honors app. The loyalty block below the release states the programme at more than 260 million members. Both counts are Hilton's own, and each prints with the block that carries it.
What the Records Do Not State
The release carries no franchise fee, no royalty rate, no agreement term and no financial value for the deal. It states no room count for the properties that have joined Hilton's channels and no property-level roster. It sets no date for a second phase and no count of the brands Select by Hilton expects to sign. YOTEL's portfolio goal carries no figure beyond the multiple.
