A sold-out track and an unpublished seat count
Cloudflare University is sold out for the 2026 edition of Cloudflare Connect. The organiser's University page carries the line "Passes for Cloudflare University are sold out. See you in 2027!" The pricing block on the Connect site reads "university sold out for 2026; no passes available." The event runs 19 to 21 October at Moscone West in San Francisco.
The University Pass costs $495 on top of the $595 conference pass. The page describes the pass as a full-day, instructor-led technical training and certification track for architects and engineers. On seats, the page reads "limited to ensure a high-touch learning environment" and tells buyers to bundle the pass during registration "to secure your spot before they sell out."
No page states how many seats the track holds.
What the $495 carries
Four inclusions are published. The first is live technical training across the Application Security and Cloudflare One / Zero Trust sessions. The second is one attempt at each of two exams. The third is in-person proctoring in a private room. The fourth is direct question time with the instructors.
The training day is Monday 19 October. The University page lists that day as instructor-led classes and certification exams, and it puts exam-only seating on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Laptops are required for every session and every exam. Attendees must be 18 or older. A University Pass is required for both the training and the exams, and the pass can be bought for the exams alone.
Seven exam windows for each credential
The sessions page carries seven windows for the Application Security Associate exam and seven for the Zero Trust Associate beta exam across the three days. Monday holds three windows, 9 to 11 a.m., 12 to 2 p.m. and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday holds two, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday holds two, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:15 to 4:15 p.m. All times are PDT.
Results land on two clocks. The Application Security Associate exam reports after the sitting. The Zero Trust Associate beta exam reports six to eight weeks after the beta review closes. A candidate who misses the applicable passing standard may be able to schedule another session at a later date.
Three published answers on who funds a seat
The first answer sits in the price of the conference pass. A registrant who registers with an official .gov, .mil, .org or .edu email address takes $100 off. The qualifying address is the one issued by the registrant's own organisation, and the published discount attaches to the pass.
The second answer sits in the team ladder. The Connect pricing block reads "team-5-9 $495 per pass" and "team-10-plus 50% off ticket prices." Ten single passes at $595 cost $5,950. Ten passes at half price cost $2,975.
The third answer sits in the organiser's own funding route. The Convince Your Boss page ships a ready-to-send email and a Slack or Teams message for a manager, with placeholders for the manager's and the sender's names. Its cost breakdown puts registration at $595 and hotel at $350 per night across three nights, or $1,050.
The night the seat adds to the block
The FAQ asks University and Partner Summit attendees to plan arrival on Sunday 18 October. A Connect-only attendee is asked to arrive by 3 p.m. on Monday 19 October for the 5 p.m. Welcome Reception, and to depart on Thursday 22 October.
A University seat adds the Sunday night. The hotel block carries one published range, $279 to $325 per night across Marriott, IHG Hotels, Hilton and World of Hyatt. No property is named. The booking window closed on 28 September.
The sell-out moves that Sunday arrival onto the Partner Summit track. The Summit runs in the afternoon on Monday at no cost, with its own registration, and its own page states that attendance "does not include admittance to Connect 2026." The page reads "space is limited."
What the sell-out is evidence for
The sell-out is a statement about demand for a $495 seat and about a cap the organiser set. The record does not carry the size of the cap, and no page dates the sell-out against the speaker announcement.
The speaker roster sits on the same site. It carries Adam Grant, an organizational psychologist and bestselling author, and Dr. Fei-Fei Li, founding co-director of the Human-Centered AI Institute and professor at Stanford University, alongside Cloudflare's Matthew Prince and Michelle Zatlyn.
One certification seat carries one extra room night inside a band of $279 to $325. The booking window for that night closed on 28 September, and neither the seat count behind the sell-out nor the room count behind the band is published.
