The event and the sale window
The 21st San Francisco Short Film Festival runs 15 to 22 October 2026. The live screening week runs seven consecutive nights from Thursday 15 to Wednesday 21 October at the 4-Star Theater, 2200 Clement Street.
The organiser sells every seat and every programme through the Eventive platform. The platform carries nineteen programme records: seven live and twelve virtual. No box office, no phone line and no cut-off date publishes for either tier.
One price and one cap on the live seat
A live admission sells at 15 dollars. The ticket bucket is General Admission at a quantity of 120, with reserved seating switched off. Seven nights at 120 seats is 840 seat-nights. A full house at the published price returns 1,800 dollars a night and 12,600 dollars across the week.
The virtual tier and the passes
A virtual programme sells at 10 dollars, and every virtual admission bucket publishes no quantity limit. The platform carries six pass types. Two publish a price: a Live+Virtual Screenings Pass at 95 dollars and a Virtual Screenings Pass at 65 dollars. The Delegate Badge, the Industry Pass, the Complimentary Pass and the Local Filmmaker Pass carry no price.
The pass counters on 8 October read zero sold on the Live+Virtual pass and one on the Virtual Screenings Pass. The Delegate Badge reads 92 of 160, and the Industry Pass reads 147 of 160. Quantity breaks are off on all six pass types.
The demand read on 8 October
The live seat counters read 125 sold against 715 open. That is 14.9 percent of the 840 seat-nights, or 1,875 dollars at the published seat price. No programme is sold out.
Per night the counters read 26 on Opening Night, 12 on Funny LOL, 6 on An Animated World, 27 on True Stories, 14 on Spontaneous Connections, 4 on Spine-tingling Stories and 36 on Closing Night. The twelve virtual programmes carried 14 admissions on the same read.
The host-city rate basis
Engine publishes San Francisco's monthly par rates. The city averages 165 dollars a night, October reads 176 dollars and December reads 129 dollars. Engine defines a par rate as the cheapest publicly available price at the time of each search.
