A Weekend That Opens With a Deadline Ladder
USA Volleyball brings the inaugural Golden Gate Classic girls junior national qualifier to Moscone Center, 747 Howard Street, San Francisco, from Friday 19 February to Sunday 21 February 2027.
The deadlines run ahead of the booking. Registration opened 16 September 2026 and closes at 12 a.m. ET on 31 December 2026. The roster is due 1 January 2027 at 5 p.m. ET. The refund deadline is 10 January 2027 at 5 p.m. ET, 40 days before the first match day.
Entry is $925 per team. Card payments carry a $25 non-refundable convenience fee, and checks carry none.
The Arrival Shape Publishes Late
Play runs in two waves a day. Morning wave doors open at 7 a.m. Afternoon wave doors open at 2:30 p.m., timed so the morning wave can leave after its 1 p.m. game.
The final schedule posts at the beginning of the week of play. A club committing rooms in January learns its wave assignment in February.
The final day carries its own clock. The last match starts at 3 p.m., and the organiser asks teams to book no departing flight before 6 p.m. Sunday night stays inside the block.
A practice window sits on Thursday 18 February from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., allocated first come and capped at one hour per team. That night sits outside the three days of play, and a club that uses the window adds a fourth room night.
The Field Size That Sets the Block
Four divisions run: Open, USA, Liberty and American, each at the 15s, 16s and 17s. Each Open division caps at 24 teams, filled by registration timestamp after a 24-hour review that favours teams with prior-season Open or USA results.
The 2026 Girls Championship Manual sets the national ceiling at 48 teams in each Open division and 128 in each USA, Liberty and American division. The organiser describes the 2027 team count as fluid.
A roster carries six to 15 players and no more than five staff members, including the head coach. Twenty people is the ceiling per entry, and that figure sets the bed need behind each team.
Rate and Access
Housing opens only to teams holding an Ok to Pay status. A team in Pending or on the Waitlist receives no booking link. Accepted status arrives after payment and a confirmed housing reservation.
The booking partner prices these events under its TTS Live! terms. Rates follow demand and sit outside the partner’s Lowest Rate Guarantee.
No block rate, property roster or per-team room allocation is published on the organiser page or the partner page. The block gets sized from division caps and roster limits, and the pickup arrives against a schedule that publishes in the week of play.
