ORS 2027 Names Twelve Spotlight Speakers

The Orthopaedic Research Society has named twelve Spotlight Speakers for its 2027 meeting across eleven institutions, and its career page still carries the 2026 session week.

The names on the 2027 page

The Orthopaedic Research Society has published twelve Spotlight Speakers for its 2027 annual meeting, each with a talk title. The page states that talk date and time will be announced soon.

The twelve, with the institution each carries on the page: Robby Bowles of the University of Utah; Alberto Carli of Hospital for Special Surgery; Kathryn Cheah of the University of Hong Kong; Kelsey Collins of the University of California, San Francisco; Michelle Delco of Cornell University; Woojin M Han of Mount Sinai; Karl Lewis of Cornell University; Jenny Puetzer of Virginia Commonwealth University; Daisuke Sakai of Tokai University; Carla Scanzello of the University of Pennsylvania; Lennart Scheys of KU Leuven; and Hai Yao of Clemson University.

Eleven institutions carry the twelve names, because Cornell University holds two. The society marks Carli as representing The Hip Society, a guest clinical society.

The 2026 edition counted eleven

The society's recap of its 2026 meeting counts 11 Spotlight Talks. The 2027 page names twelve speakers.

The two hiring pools

Two career sessions sit on the 2027 programme. The Future Faculty Poster Session covers senior post-docs, residents and fellows who plan to apply for a first independent faculty post, and the page states it highlights 21 senior trainees actively seeking academic faculty positions. The Postdoctoral Fellow Match Poster Session covers the hiring side of that market, and the page states it highlights 18 postdocs actively seeking postdoc positions. Both sessions offer a request link for a PDF of the applicants.

Both sit in one slot, Sunday 29 March, 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Both read submissions now closed.

The page still carries the 2026 week

The career page sits under the 2027 meeting and lists its sessions from Friday 27 March to Tuesday 31 March. Those weekdays do not hold in 2027, because 27 March 2027 falls on a Saturday. They held in 2026, when 27 March was the Friday the meeting opened on.

The Art of Grant Writing Workshop runs Friday 27 March, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and reads registration closed. The Mentor-Mentee Luncheon runs Saturday 28 March, 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., and reads capacity reached. Both dates belong to the 2026 week.

The next two editions

The society dates ORS 2028 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans from 11 to 15 February 2028, and ORS 2029 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland from 2 to 6 February 2029.

No talk date or time is published for any of the twelve speakers.
