HVS Europe Hotel Transactions Bulletin - Week Ending 9 October 2026

HVS's Europe bulletin for the week ending 9 October 2026 carries five transactions across 644 rooms: Generator's Novotel London Greenwich, LRO's Courtyard Edinburgh, CapMan and AP Pension's Scandic Webers Copenhagen, Extendam's ibis Styles Paris sale and Yurbban's Allegro Barcelona.

HVS records five European hotel deals across 644 rooms

HVS published its Europe hotel transactions bulletin for the week ending 9 October 2026. The edition carries five transactions. The properties hold 644 rooms in total. Hospitality Net republished the bulletin on 13 October 2026.

The set covers two hotels in the United Kingdom, one in Denmark, one in France and one in Spain. HVS describes the buyer set as investment funds, property management companies and hotel groups.

London: Generator buys the Novotel London Greenwich

Generator acquired the four-star Novotel London Greenwich, a 151-room hotel. HVS names the seller as Ares Management and EQ Group, and Generator's own release leaves the seller unnamed. The property becomes Generator London Greenwich from 1 January 2027, and a phased renovation starts in spring 2027.

Ares Management and EQ Group acquired the hotel from Landsec in 2024 within a 21-property portfolio valued at GBP 400 million. HVS reported the same asset in its bulletin for the week ending 5 June 2026. The 9 October edition adds the buyer's identity.

Generator's announcement of 5 October 2026 pairs the London purchase with a hotel management agreement with Covivio. Covivio will convert an office building in Paris's 13th arrondissement into Generator Paris Place d'Italie, the group's second Paris property.

Xavier Mufraggi, chief executive of Generator, states that the two projects support a target of doubling the group's portfolio by 2031.

Edinburgh: LRO Hospitality completes the Courtyard by Marriott

LRO Hospitality completed the acquisition of the 240-bedroom Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh at 1-3 Baxter's Place on 30 September 2026. The vendor is a fund managed by CVC Marathon, and JLL advised the seller as exclusive adviser.

LRO Hospitality is the core-plus hospitality investment platform owned jointly by L+R Hotels and Dutch pension investor PGGM. Iconic Hotels & Resorts takes over operations and management. The completion follows LRO Hospitality's purchase of Marriott Brussels Grand Place. The parties disclosed no price.

Copenhagen: CapMan and AP Pension add the Scandic Webers

CapMan Real Estate completed the acquisition of Hotel Scandic Webers from Danish real estate company Jeudan. The buyer is CapMan Real Estate's 50/50 joint venture with Danish pension company AP Pension, and the purchase runs through the CapMan Nordic Real Estate IV fund.

The hotel holds 152 rooms across approximately 7,400 square metres in central Copenhagen, by the main station. The building carries a restaurant, a bar and three meeting rooms. Scandic continues to operate the hotel, and the joint venture plans a refurbishment.

CapMan's own release describes the hotel as 3-star to 4-star, and the HVS bulletin records four stars. Neither party disclosed a price. CapMan's release body carries an 8 September 2026 heading, and the company's news index and the wire stamp the same release 8 October 2026.

The purchase is the joint venture's second in Copenhagen. CapMan announced its separate Crowne Plaza Copenhagen release on 8 September 2026.

Paris: Extendam sells the ibis Styles Paris Montmartre Nord

Extendam sold the ibis Styles Paris Montmartre Nord, a three-star hotel of 45 rooms at 77 rue du Ruisseau in the 18th arrondissement, north of the Butte Montmartre. The sale was reported on 7 October 2026.

Extendam acquired the property through a hotel SME in partnership with the operator MyHotels. A works programme ran from 2021 and covered the rooms, the public areas and full air conditioning. MyHotels continues as operator and as co-investor, alongside an industrial family making its first hotel investment.

Barcelona: Yurbban takes the Allegro Barcelona

Yurbban Hospitality Group completed the acquisition of the Allegro Barcelona, a 56-room hotel that keeps its three-star category. The deal was signed on 30 September 2026 through a club deal investment structure.

The hotel closed on 5 October 2026 for a full refurbishment and reopens between February and March 2027 as UMA House Granados. It becomes the second UMA hotel in Barcelona, after UMA House Trafalgar. Raquel Sogorb of Monplet Studio leads the interiors.

The week's set

HVS states the five transactions in its own bulletin. Three properties changed hands with a renovation attached: Greenwich, the Scandic Webers and the Allegro Barcelona. Two take a new brand: Generator London Greenwich and UMA House Granados.
