The NW Martial Arts Festival Championships run one day in Hall A at the Oregon Convention Center on Saturday, November 7. The U.S. World Class Taekwondo Association holds the floor from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The venue publishes Hall A and 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd as the address.
Three dates set the demand window. Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. PST on October 30. The final tournament schedule goes up on November 2. The doors open on November 7.
The Roster Closes Three Weeks Out
The association accepts no registration after October 30. The outline adds that the final tournament grid lands on November 2 on its Facebook page.
No attendance figure appears in the outline or on the venue's event page. A property pricing this weekend holds a registration close and a schedule release, and no pickup estimate.
Five days separate the grid from the doors. A rate that needs fourteen days of lead time sits before both published dates.
Two Extra Dates Split the Stay
The association runs a referee seminar on October 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at its Bethany location, 15285 NW Central Dr, Portland, OR 97229. The seminar is mandatory for every Black Belt testing candidate aged 14 and over, and for every Black Belt testing for 2nd Dan and higher at any age.
The November run continues on November 8 with the Fall Black Belt Graduation, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Airport, 7900 NE 82nd Ave, Portland, OR 97220. That address sits 5.29 miles straight-line from the convention center.
A party that includes a testing candidate carries a Friday night at one address. A competitor who attends the championship and the graduation carries a Saturday night in the Lloyd District. Three published dates, two submarkets, two rate decisions.
The Outline Names No Block
The association publishes one line of hotel guidance. Many hotels are available next to the Oregon Convention Center, and the line links to Expedia. The same outline carries no room block, no rate, no cut-off date and no room-night commitment.
Every room this event produces arrives through a search page or a direct booking. A property prices it against its own calendar. There is no group contract to bid into and no pickup number to test.
Arrivals Compress Into Two Hours
The garage opens at 6:00 a.m. and holds 800 spaces. Parking costs $15 for up to 18 hours with no in-and-out privileges, and the entry rate runs $15 to $25 on event days. Overnight parking is prohibited and spaces go first come, first served. The drive-through booths take cards only.
Another 566 metered spaces sit within three blocks. The MAX light rail stops near the front entrance, the Streetcar A Loop reaches NE MLK and Hoyt every 15 minutes, and Bus 6 stops at NE MLK and Holladay. PDX sits eight miles out.
An 8:00 a.m. start puts the arrival peak inside the two hours before the doors. A guest bound for the first division leaves the property before 8:00 a.m., and a guest staying for the last one returns after 5:00 p.m.
The Cash Detail That Reaches the Desk
Spectators pay $20 in cash at the gate, infants free, on November 7 only. The venue runs cashless. A reverse ATM sits down the short hallway left of the welcome desk in the MLK Lobby, loads a Visa card once with no fee and takes cash anonymously. Five ATMs stand inside the building.
Two more charges take cash. Boards for the breaking divisions cost $5 at the check-in desks, and a coach or media pass bought at the venue costs $150.
That set belongs in the pre-arrival message. Leave the rate to the calendar.
What to Hold in the Forecast
Four published items bear on the weekend. A registration close on October 30. A schedule release on November 2. A nine-hour window in Hall A on November 7. A morning capstone at an airport property on November 8.
No attendance figure is published for any of the three dates. Price the weekend off the calendar, and reprice when the November 2 grid lands.
