Six and a half credits, one residency condition
The 2026 Oregon Caregiver Conference runs on Tuesday, 10 November at the Oregon Convention Center. The flyer lists 6.5 CEUs for certain Oregon professionals. The registration listing states the route: register under the General Public option and be an Oregon resident. Registration costs $100.
The listing adds a line that decides the choice. CEU credits are not available to registrants who register as a family caregiver. The free places and the credits sit in separate registration options, and the listing prints the split.
One boundary follows. The venue titles the event the 2026 Oregon & SW Washington Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Conference. A professional working in southwest Washington can attend. The credit condition names Oregon residency, so the listing's wording excludes that professional from the credits.
The programme's shape, without the grid
The chapter page lists keynote speakers on Alzheimer's and dementia research, breakout sessions, a luncheon presentation, and Association education and community resources. The flyer names the keynote as "The Latest in Alzheimer's and Dementia Research" and tells registrants to build a schedule from expert-led breakout sessions.
The grid is not public. The chapter page reads "2026 Agenda Coming Soon". No breakout title, speaker name or session time appears on the chapter page, the flyer, the venue page or the registration listing. A training lead cannot read the subject of one breakout.
The widest content line is the flyer's: person-centered strategies for daily care, financial planning, long-term care options, practical tips for caregiving, and advances in brain health.
The organiser's own vocabulary
The venue page describes the day as evidence-based education and person-centered training for families and professionals. The listing calls it Oregon's leading research and education event, built on person-centered workshops for family and professional caregivers, and names the latest Alzheimer's and dementia science and practical tools for cognitive health.
Person-centered care for people living with dementia sits inside both descriptions. A hotel training lead can hold the published subject list against the skills a front desk or housekeeping team uses on shift. The chapter has not named the sessions.
Who the listing expects
The listing prints four audience types: General Public, Volunteers, People with Dementia - Early Stage, Caregivers. It prints no employer route and no group rate. Payment runs by credit card only, due at registration, and the fee range reads $0 to $100. Lunch is included. A happy hour follows the programme.
CEU questions route to Lori at lstanton@alz.org. Registration runs through the 24/7 Helpline on 800.272.3900 or the online account route.
The workforce figure behind the day
The chapter frames the conference around the more than 192,000 Oregonians who provide unpaid care for a person living with Alzheimer's or another dementia. That number counts people in the state. No page publishes a delegate figure.
This is the 28th edition. The chapter page says the conference has provided three decades of education and training and, elsewhere on the same page, nearly 30 years. The flyer says twenty-eight years. The venue books Portland Ballroom 251-254 and 257-258 for the single Tuesday.
Who funds the free places
The flyer credits a partner: "Courtesy of Oregon Care Partners, the first 250 Oregon Family Caregivers are admitted at no cost." The listing names the presenting collaboration as AARP and Oregon Care Partners, and describes Oregon Care Partners as a free education resource for family and professional caregivers of older adults and people living with Alzheimer's in Oregon.
For an operator with Oregon properties, one state holds a free caregiver education resource beside a $100 conference seat. The flyer, the chapter page and the listing print no employer rate and no group rate.
What a training budget can attach to
Three items are firm: the $100 registration, the 6.5 CEUs, and the Oregon residency condition on the credit route. The session content is not firm. A training lead can book the place now and hold the role decision until the chapter publishes the grid. The student rate stays unpriced until the listing carries a figure.
