Dreamscape Counts Patenaude's Tenure at Two and a Half Years

Dreamscape Hospitality promoted Adam Patenaude to president and chief executive officer, and the release's two-and-a-half-year count sits against Hotel Dive's two.

Dreamscape Hospitality promoted Adam Patenaude to president and chief executive officer. hotelbusiness.com and Hospitality Net carried the release on 13 October 2026. Hotel Dive and HOTELS Magazine carried it on 14 October.

The release frames the move around his service as president. He keeps the president title alongside the new one.

Two and a half years, counted three ways

The release counts two and a half years in the president role. Hotel Dive reports two years. Patenaude joined the company in May 2024.

May 2024 to October 2026 measures 29 months, or two years and five months. The release rounds that span to two and a half years. hotelbusiness.com carried his arrival on 20 May 2024 under a headline naming him Dreamscape Hospitality president.

The Aimbridge line through both senior seats

Both of Dreamscape's senior seats came from Aimbridge Hospitality. Patenaude served as senior vice president of operations there, per Hotel Dive and his LinkedIn profile. HOTELS Magazine puts that service at 15 years.

Bill Stadler took the chief investment officer seat in September 2025 from the same company. Dreamscape's release of that hire says he held the same title at Aimbridge, and that he helped take it from 150 hotels and a $100 million valuation to more than 1,500 hotels worldwide valued at over $1.8 billion.

What the chief executive seat adds to the job

The release sets out one task for the expanded role. Patenaude will continue to build a corporate support team with the expertise and resources to support the portfolio. No headcount and no deadline appear in the notice.

Patenaude described the purpose of that build in his own statement. "Our growth is about more than numbers, it's about building an organization with the people, systems and culture to consistently deliver exceptional results for our ownership partners," he said.

The operator's team page lists the seats already filled. It carries a chief investment officer, a vice president of brand performance and transitions, two vice presidents of sales and marketing, a vice president of revenue strategy, a vice president of digital strategy, a director of feasibility and a vice president of people and culture.

The portfolio the new title carries

The release projects more than 40 hotels by the end of the operator's second full year, across 13 brands. Hilton, Marriott International, Hyatt and IHG Hotels & Resorts take the branded share. Independent and boutique properties sit inside the count.

The last hard counts sit in the September 2025 release. Dreamscape managed more than 35 hotels then and held 60 properties in its pipeline. The October 2026 release states that the pipeline will expand the company's national presence into new markets, and attaches no figure to that statement.

The quarter's other executive move

Hotel Dive placed the promotion inside a third-quarter slate of hospitality executive appointments. Its second named move was Pyramid Global Hospitality naming Chris Dunne chief financial officer, which Hotel Dive carried on 5 August 2026.

Eric Birnbaum chairs Dreamscape Companies and signed the board statement. "Under Adam's leadership, Dreamscape Hospitality has grown at a pace that would be impressive in any market," he said.

The notice carries no effective date for the expanded role, no management fee, no contract term and no performance metric behind its claim of strong improvement across key performance indicators.

Dreamscape did not reply to a Hotel Dive request for comment on future growth plans before publication.
