Elanco's New Campus Adds 700 Weekday Employees. The Rooms Come From Elsewhere.

Elanco Animal Health opened a $200-million-plus, three-building headquarters on the former General Motors Stamping Plant site on 1 October 2025. More than 700 people work there inside a global workforce of about 9,450, and the company has published no visitor count, no function space and no access rule for outside groups.

A Weekday Account on the West Bank

Elanco Animal Health opened its global headquarters on 1 October 2025 on the west side of downtown Indianapolis. The company put the cost at $200-million-plus.

The campus holds three buildings: a six-story administration building, a two-story laboratory building and a two-story collaboration building Elanco calls its crossroads building. More than 700 people work there inside a global workforce of about 9,450. The headquarters moved from Greenfield.

The Programme and Its Numbers

Elanco broke ground on 12 April 2022, with Governor Eric Holcomb and Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers at the ceremony. The plan published that day carried a cost of $100 million, 220,000 square feet of headquarters space, a six-story structure and 45 acres of the former General Motors Stamping Plant. The company had announced the Greenfield relocation the previous December.

The delivered account reads higher on cost. Elanco bought further ground from the state for $27 million inside the OneHealth Innovation District, a partnership with Purdue University and the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

The Terms a Campus Account Holds

The campus carries offices, laboratories and collaboration space. It carries no guest rooms and no published function space. Elanco has published no visitor count, no vendor or contractor travel figure, no training calendar and no access rule for outside groups.

Four terms belong in writing before a hotel prices this account: last-room availability on peak convention dates, a midweek room-count floor, direct billing and a named reservations contact. The account's own travel records settle each one.

The Supply It Meets

The Indiana Convention Center publishes 7,100 hotel rooms in downtown Indianapolis. It counts 4,700 rooms connected to the center by skywalk, and its facility guide counts 4,570 committable group rooms downtown.

The 803-room Signia by Hilton Indianapolis opens with the convention center expansion in December 2026. Its meeting space runs to 90,000 square feet, and it holds a 50,455-square-foot grand ballroom, a 15,668-square-foot junior ballroom and a 9,000-square-foot signature ballroom.

Bradford Allen's market note of 19 March 2026 carries a Downtown Indy Alliance snapshot. That snapshot cites CoStar and STR. Downtown occupancy reads 64.7 percent against 62.4 percent nationally. Average daily rate reads $209.11, and revenue per available room reads $135.20.

Marcus & Millichap forecasts central business district occupancy near 65 percent for 2026, the highest in the metro, through a modest year-over-year dip. Its report ties the convention center expansion and the connected Signia to weekday occupancy and rate growth over time.

Engine publishes a city dataset from 1.2 million public rate observations between May 2024 and April 2026. The Indianapolis average reads $128 a night. The month curve runs from $107 in February to $158 in May, with $134 in October and $117 in September.

What Would Price the Account

A visitor count turns the campus into a bookable forecast. So does an access rule, a function-space inventory or a vendor travel figure. None of the four appears in print.

Until one does, the campus is weekday corporate transient business with no published size. Name that gap in the account plan and ask the buyer for the travel records behind it.
