Fairmont Breakers names Jasmin Schubert sales and marketing director

Jasmin Schubert moved from acting director into the top sales and marketing role at the 1926 Long Beach landmark, the hotel said in a release dated 15 October 2026.

The appointment

Fairmont Breakers Long Beach appointed Jasmin Schubert as director of sales & marketing, the hotel said in a release dated 15 October 2026 and datelined Long Beach, California. The release describes the property as Southern California's MICHELIN Key-rated historic landmark.

Schubert will run the hotel's sales and marketing. The release states her focus as strengthening the hotel's position in the Long Beach market, building local relationships and establishing the hotel in the life of the city. It names no effective date, no predecessor and no reporting line.

From group sales to the top commercial role

Schubert joined Fairmont Breakers in early 2026 as director of group sales. She then served as acting director of sales & marketing. In that role she ran the hotel's commercial effort through a year in which it marked its centennial, took its first MICHELIN Key and drew recognition from Historic Hotels of America.

Historic Hotels of America proclaimed 18 September "National Fairmont Breakers Long Beach Day."

The general manager's view

"Jasmin has already made a significant impact at Fairmont Breakers, and her leadership, strategic vision, and understanding of both our hotel and the Long Beach market make her the ideal person to lead our sales and marketing efforts into this next chapter," said André Brose, general manager of the property.

Brose said the relationships she has built in the community and her read on Long Beach as a destination have carried particular weight.

Background

Schubert spent seven years at Welcome Group Inc. before Long Beach, most recently as regional director of sales and marketing with commercial strategy across several Southern California hotels. Her experience covers hotel openings, revenue strategy, partnerships, public relations, digital marketing and e-commerce. She holds a bachelor of business administration in international hospitality management from Stenden University in the Netherlands.

In her words

"Fairmont Breakers has the rare opportunity to celebrate 100 years of history while still feeling fresh, vibrant and new," Schubert said. She said her plan connects the property's history with a deeper relationship with the city and a new generation of travellers and locals.

The property

Fairmont Breakers Long Beach is a 1926 landmark in downtown Long Beach. The release describes a 185-room hotel that reopened in 2024 after a $150 million restoration and has since marked its centennial. It lists five dining and nightlife venues, a Fairmont Spa, a rooftop pool and nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Walker & Eisen designed the building. RVD Associates, HBA San Francisco and Eden For Your World worked on the restoration. The hotel took its first MICHELIN Key in 2026.
