The shape of the week
The Best Practices Expo & Conference occupies the Indiana Convention Center from Tuesday, October 13 to Thursday, October 15, 2026, with a venue forecast of 1,200 attendees. The first conference session starts at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. The last adjourns at 12:15 p.m. Thursday.
Three nights carry the delegate stay: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday against a Thursday checkout. A Tuesday arrival against the Thursday departure holds two. The organiser prices a full conference pass at $550 through September 30 and $675 from October 1, a single-day pass at $295 and $350, an expo visitor pass at $55 and $105, and the Compressed Air Challenge workshop with the conference at $550 and $675.
The install pattern adds two nights
The exhibitor prospectus sets move-in on Sunday, October 11 and Monday, October 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and a final window on Tuesday from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. Move-out runs Wednesday from 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. An exhibiting company on that schedule holds the Saturday night through Wednesday.
Two host blocks and two cut-off dates
The organiser holds reduced-rate rooms at the Crowne Plaza Downtown Union Station at $214 a night, with the group cut-off extended to Friday, September 25, and at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis at $229 a night, with a reserve-by date of Friday, September 18. Both connect to the Center through indoor tunnels, and the organiser states that reduced-rate rooms are limited.

What the cut-off does
A cut-off date is the deadline by which guests must book inside the block. Unclaimed rooms return to the hotel's general inventory after it, and the group keeps the commitment it signed. The Blocks glossary puts that date 21 to 30 days before the event. The two dates here fall 25 and 18 days before the October 13 opening, in the same week.
Three shows on one Wednesday
October 14 carries this expo's 1,200 delegates, the Metal Treating Institute's Furnaces North America at 1,500 and the Indiana IT Symposium at 300 in Sagamore Ballroom 4-5. The three forecasts reach 3,000 people inside one building on one day, against 7,100 downtown rooms and 4,700 rooms on the venue's skywalk system.
The week the desk staffs
Reservations and the front desk cover a five-day arc here. Exhibitors arrive from Saturday, October 10 for the Sunday install. Delegates arrive Monday, October 12 for the Tuesday opening. The arrival peak lands Tuesday between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m., when the exhibitor move-in window overlaps the first session. The checkout peak lands Thursday morning before the 12:15 p.m. adjournment.
Booking work concentrates around the September 18 and September 25 dates. After September 25 both published rates close. A delegate arriving Tuesday then holds two nights.
