A hotel operator backs four state sports sites
Erastus Radjimin, founder and chief executive officer of Artotel Group, told the Business Infrastructure Forum on Friday 11 September 2026 that the group supports converting four sports complex assets in West Java into sport tourism and wellness destinations. He spoke at Hall Cendrawasih in the Jakarta International Convention Center.
The four assets are Kawasan Sport Jabar Arcamanik, Lahan Tanjungsari, Sarana Olahraga Lodaya and Sarana Olahraga Padjadjaran. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi and Bandung Mayor Muhammad Farhan presented them at the same session. The provincial and city administrations own the assets.
The forum ran inside Indonesia Sports Summit 2026, which the Ministry of Youth and Sports organised from 11 to 13 September 2026.
The demand calendar is the commercial case
Radjimin put the argument on utilisation. A sports venue draws a crowd on competition days. He said the sites need integration with hospitality, retail, food and beverage, wellness, entertainment and community activity. In his account that integration produces steadier use of the infrastructure and opens new revenue lines.
For a rooms business the commercial question is the calendar. A stadium diary fills the competition days. Accommodation, dining, fitness and event space inside the same site carry the weeks between them.
He said sport tourism and wellness will shape the future of hospitality.
No terms on the record
The forum produced a statement of support. The record carries no contract, no management agreement, no partnership and no asset purchase. No timeline and no budget were published.
The route the group already uses
Artotel Group's own agreement record shows the route. On Wednesday 2 September 2026 the group signed a memorandum with Universitas Padjadjaran at the university rectorate in Jatinangor. Chief operating officer Eduard Rudolf Pangkerego signed for the group and rector Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita signed for the university.
The scope covers education, research, human-resource development and knowledge exchange. It covers management of university venue and campus facilities by Artotel Group. It adds special rates for rooms and meeting, incentive, conference and exhibition space across the Artotel network, with a loyalty programme for alumni and academic staff.
A second memorandum with Universitas Indonesia covers education, research and community service. It adds cooperation on managing venues inside that university.
Sarana Olahraga Padjadjaran carries a name the university also carries. No source states a link between the two.
What the operator brings
Artotel Group describes itself as an Indonesian hotel operator and management company across four business units: hotel, food and beverage, event management and curated merchandise. Hospitality Asia Media put the portfolio at more than 100 hotels and over 10,000 guest rooms, across the ARTOTEL, DAFAM, MAXONE and ROOMS INC brands.
The group opened ARTOTEL Leguna Magelang on 25 April 2026 in Central Java with 111 rooms across 10 room types.
What the record leaves open
Whether the administrations will tender management or lease the sites has no published answer. Whether a hotel component forms part of any conversion has no published answer. The utilisation case rests on activity through the year.
