The rate and the booking window
Reuben Brothers and Auberge Collection opened reservations at Cambridge House on 15 September 2026. The release names a 1 February 2027 opening and a bookable calendar from 1 April 2027. Rates start at GBP1,250 a night on a room-only basis.
Both dates sit in the same document. The hotel opens on 1 February 2027 and its bookable inventory starts two months later. The document gives no reason for the interval. Managing Director Etienne Haro states that the team anticipates welcoming its first guests from February.

Inventory and the residence count
The release describes the property as the 102-room hotel and residences. The first-look coverage reads 102 rooms with 24 of them suites. Nine of the rooms are signature suites.
The principal floor can be booked whole as The Piano Nobile. That unit measures 600 square metres and takes up to six bedrooms. The building also holds seven private residences, 22,277 square feet in total, with the largest at 7,018 square feet across the fourth and fifth floors.
No source published by the project gives a separate figure for the residences.
The designers
Studio PDP is the architect. Donald Insall Associates is the historic buildings consultant, AKT II the structural engineer and Ardmore the main contractor. Jean-Louis Deniot is overseeing the hotel and its guest spaces. Laura Gonzalez designed the signature bar, the wellbeing floors and the members club.
Major's and Major Food Group
Major Food Group will operate Major's, the hotel's main restaurant, inside the restored Georgian ballroom and the courtyard beside it. The group's other concepts include CARBONE and Torrisi. The menu centres on British ingredients, with seafood, caviar, meat, fish and game. The Reuben Bar is the signature bar, and its list carries more than ten versions of the martini.
The three-floor wellbeing destination
Wellbeing occupies three floors. The fit-out names a heated swimming pool, hydrotherapy facilities, a bathhouse, six treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge with a fire pit at its centre, a gym and studios. The pool runs from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. A Master in Residence programme brings visiting practitioners through the space.
The Piccadilly Estate
Cambridge House sits inside Reuben Brothers' GBP1 billion regeneration of 1.3 prime acres of the Piccadilly Estate. Reuben Brothers bought the estate in 2011. Matthew Brettingham built the house between 1756 and 1761 for the 2nd Earl of Egremont. The Naval and Military Club opened there in April 1866 and stayed until it moved to St James's Square on 1 February 1999. The house stood empty between the club's departure and the current restoration.
Auberge Collection's UK debut
Cambridge House is the brand's first hotel in the United Kingdom. Auberge Collection opened Collegio alla Querce in Florence and The Woodward in Geneva during 2025. Its European set also takes in Domaine des Etangs in France and Grace Hotel in Santorini. The Knox in Dallas is scheduled for 2027. Auberge Safari covers nine properties in Tanzania.
What the release leaves unstated
The GBP1 billion figure covers the wider estate. No capital cost for the hotel itself appears in the document. The members club has a year and no date, and the first-look coverage records no published name, membership terms or fee for it. The restaurant, the bars and the wellbeing floors carry no opening schedule of their own in the document.
Revenue at 102 keys turns on the residence count, the split between rooms and suites, and the trading season. The release carries the rate and the date, and it carries none of those three.
