The 2026 USA Track & Field Annual Meeting runs at the Oregon Convention Center from Thursday 3 December to Sunday 6 December. The Oregon Ballroom carries sessions from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. across the four days.
The officials who run the sport’s technical side have their own evening inside that week. The Officials Hall of Fame Banquet starts on Friday 4 December at 6:00 p.m. Tickets cost $80 through registration.
Who the Week Convenes
Every meeting checks a credential at the door. The meeting schedule marks each session open or closed. Open sessions accept any registrant, and closed sessions run by invitation.
USATF prints no schedules in 2026. The meeting grid sits on the event website, on screens at the venue and in the BAND app, with group invite code MJW-S1F-DQ.
An official who wants a credential in hand before the first committee room opens arrives on the Wednesday. Pickup starts at the Convention Center on the afternoon of 2 December, and USATF lists the hours as coming soon.
The Tickets an Official Buys
Two evenings carry a ticket. The Officials Hall of Fame Banquet costs $80 and the Night of Legends costs $50 on Saturday 5 December at 6:00 p.m. Both are bought through registration. An attendee at both adds $130 to the registration fee.
Three events carry no charge. The Opening Session starts Thursday at 5:00 p.m., the Awards Breakfast starts Saturday at 6:30 a.m., and the Closing Session starts Sunday at 8:00 a.m. USATF opens all three to any attendee at no cost.
The Weekdays an Employer Releases
A registrant collects a credential in person. Pickup for another attendee is not allowed, so each traveller stands in the line.
The Wednesday arrival sets the request on an employer’s calendar. The stay runs from 2 December to the Closing Session on 6 December. That is five calendar days, four nights and three weekdays.
The Closing Session starts at 8:00 a.m. on the Sunday. The Convention Center holds luggage during that session for anyone leaving straight to PDX.
What the Allowance Question Returns
USATF publishes no travel allowance figure. The FAQ answers the reimbursement question with one line, which asks the delegate to contact the USATF Committee Liaison for questions about travel allowances.
An official who needs a number for an employer’s expenses form gets it from the liaison. The event site carries none.
The Fee That Lands on the Individual
Registration costs $385 per person before 4 November at 2:59 a.m. ET, and $435 per person from 3:00 a.m. ET that day. The two prices sit $50 apart, a step of 12.99 percent.
All sales are final. Registration and attendance both require a current USATF membership. Online registration closes Saturday 5 December at 3:00 p.m. ET, and in-person registration is not allowed.
The Room and the Rule That Cancels It
USATF holds a discounted block at the Hyatt Regency Portland at the Convention Center. The booking link arrives in the registration confirmation email.
The event page and the FAQ print no rate, no room count, no cut-off date and no release term for the block.
The FAQ states one failure mode. A room booked inside the block before registration is complete gets cancelled.
Nights before and after the meeting are allowed, subject to availability, and each attendee pays for them. A sold-out block starts a wait list inside the travel department, and overflow options appear on the JTeam Management booking site.
The Airport Leg Nobody Runs
USATF runs no transport from PDX to the host hotels and none from the hotels to the Convention Center.
Every registrant collects a five-day unlimited MAX pass at credential pickup. The pass covers the meeting days and the return trip to PDX.
The Wednesday airport ride comes before pickup, so the traveller pays that leg. A standard adult fare costs $2.80 and covers 2.5 hours of travel. The Red Line reaches the Convention Center from PDX in about 30 minutes, trains arrive every 15 to 20 minutes, and most lines run from about 4 a.m. to midnight.
The Request on the Manager’s Desk
Put the week on a manager’s calendar as it stands. The official is away from Wednesday 2 December to Sunday 6 December, and three of those days fall inside a working week.
The Friday and Saturday nights come from a block that cancels an unregistered booking. The banquet adds $80, the fee adds $435 after 4 November, and the allowance line stays with the committee liaison.
Two numbers make the case readable in one line. Registration costs $435 after 4 November, and the delegate stay covers four nights. The allowance that may offset either one is published nowhere on the event site.
